What he was handed wasn’t great but he 100% took it to the lows we’re at now.
Look at the progressive passing stats of the players before and after he arrived. He saw the technical bar wasn’t high, shit himself, and then compounded on the issue making it worse.
If we go down it’s massively down to him siphoning any confidence out of the players and creating a snowball effect that I don’t think even RDZ can reverse.
lol understatement of the century.
He was handed goods that had been damaged beyond short-term repair (if repairable at all).
He had zero final third and had to try and navigate that along with trying to make us harder to beat (with injuries continually, consistently mounting).
Overall, that task proved too much for him -- in the short term, with the resources he had to fix it -- and yes, his approach was flawed in certain areas, for sure. He definitely made tactical mistakes.
Didn't have us playing anywhere near how he had Brentford perfuming as a functional, robust, competitive, effective, scoring unit.
But they had stable players (which he had produced) whose minds hadn't been saturated with a 'losing is fine lads' mentality, that Ange cultured here.
I don't think anyone's going to try and say Frank was flawless.
Responsible for the weak mental condition of these players, though?
lol get in the bin.
That was all Ange, and Baldcunt watched and let him do it.
Which is actually worse tbf.
