Oh and here's your occasional reminder that Tottenham finished 8th in 22/23 with 14 losses with prime Kane and Son.

The idea that "the rot set in" under Postecoglou is just nonsense written by people who didn't listen when people warned you that the squad was in dire shape and lacking genuine quality.

Not just one of the greatest achievements in footballing history, but human history. This now transcends sport.

You only have to look at that victory parade and the millions and millions who attended. Bringing that number of people together is typically reserved for when a dictator is overthrown or a World War has ended.

Angelos Postecoglou, all of humanity is in your debt.

I did say the man deserves a statue!

One of the best things that ENIC can do and IMO put themselves in everyone's good books is by building this man a statue, get it done Vinai!

I mean it's just bizarre - what more evidence do you need than De Zerbi namechecking AngeBall in his first presser as the best way for Spurs to get out of the mess Derangers got us into.

The case is closed. The game is up. Derangers got us into this mess. De Zerbi will get us out. :ange-pray:

I'm afraid the evidence doesn't really stack up.

Firstly it must be reiterated that the MAIN cause of our problems in the last two years has been a never ending injury crisis. Both managers suffered this bad luck BUT it was particularly acute in the case of the 24/25 season because we can easily see the statistical effect of the injuries.

But - and I'm repeating myself here but I'll continue to do so while people like you continue to peddle falsehoods - after Match Day 12 of the 24/25 season Spurs were in 6th place, 4 points off 2nd, with a GD of +14.

30 minutes later it was announced Vicario had busted his foot. He would join Romero, Van De Ven and Udogie on the side lines. None of them would appear much again for the next three months. Up until that point Tottenham's xG and xGA was Top5 quality and considerably better than anything Frank got close to in his time at Spurs.

When the first choice Back 5 returned in March 2025 they never once played together in the League - however they did play together in Europa League where they went 4 wins 1 Draw and won the competition.

Postecoglou's record with his first choice Back 5 was Top 5/6 points wise. Frank had that Back 5 available for most of his time. We did not at any stage look like a Top 6 side, and our underlying metrics never had us above a bottom half side.

There is no comparison. You are peddling rubbish. I know you need to believe it but it's simply not true.

Nah, it's true. Ange was crap.

Nah, it's true. Ange was crap.

Of course you have to force yourself to say this. Because of your track record.

I honestly thought things were going to turn around when we got rid of Ange, Frank at least seemed to be flexible, have some humility and have a brain in his head. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out.

But you're so close to true understanding. You just have to reach out and accept enlightenment.

I can't really work out whether we've had two terrible managers in a row, whether our squad is full of un-coachable dross or whether it's a combination of the two.

Either way, I think it's time to move on and try something else.

Three terrible managers in a row seems unlikely so if these kind of results continue then I'm going to be more sure the majority of the playing staff are crap.

But you can't. Because you still suffer Derangement.

But it is curable. There's still hope for you.

I've got to give you credit for sticking to the bit!

I'm here to bring healing and enlightenment to the Spurs fanbase.

I'm on a mission from God.

CERN scientists are currently investigating whether the cheer when Ange lifted the Europa cup on the high road was so loud it travelled through space and time and was the source of the big bang.

He may unwittingly have actually created not only humanity but also the universe as we know it.

Deuterz pledged to build with his bare hands a statue of the great man should he win the Europa League, such was the scale of the task seen at the time.

Of course now it was all just a piece of piss all along. The revisionism is strong.

And 62% of TFC agrees with that decision even now 👍. 62% of the forum is capable of critical thinking and can see losing 22 games and finishing 17th warranted a sacking - just because the subsequent coach failed (and btw he was sacked in a higher league position + doing well in Europe) doesn’t mean Ange succeeded.

Yes it was a nice big parade. So what? It doesn’t represent competence. Bad coaches have and will win trophies. It’s a cup run in a VERY weak competition where to win it you need to get past the likes of Bologna or Frankfurt. We have seen a Scottish league team (mostly championship level) reach the final of this comp and lose on pens. It is not major or top level. Scottish teams categorically don’t get to major European finals - there is only one, the CL final.

I don’t care if this simple fact gets people emotional and crying about shitting on the trophy. It is true. You all know it which is why you fall back on that argument. You all watched 15th vs 17th play out the worst quality final of all time. It is not a marker of quality or coaching or any sort of competence.

Those same people though Thomas Frank would do good things at this club and that he'd be a better coach than Ange, wouldn't take what they say as gospel so nah poor argument sorry, can't be arsed to read the rest.

I've waited 40 odd years for a European trophy and 17yrs for any kind of trophy . It's "history made" and no amount of shitting on it will dull the shine of a European trophy . I fully understand your argument , but if it wasn't for a slippery pitch we could've been in a CL semi final against the scum . A cup is won by beating what teams are put in front of you .

Lol you mean 62% of the whopping 79 people who voted in this poll - which we all know is only populated by the small minority of handsome, charismatic good guys and a horde of crazed Derangers who just can't let go.

A much larger amount of people on this site voted in this poll asking if we'd have Ange back over Frank

Unsurprisingly the more normal majority went with the appropriate answer :D
