Player The Injury & Suspension Thread 2025/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's not been playing u21's nor Byfield, both were injured but hope they have recovered by now.

With a shortage of forwards in first team, it should be time to look at some u21 players but its usually not considered the best time of the season when games are at the 'must win' stage, so high pressure on any youngster brought in.

Most likely options (in no order) I'd guess are Wilson (striker), T Townsend (winger) and LWB (no 10)

Just sell Solanke in the summer and really think about Simons.

The physical frailty of our squad is bewildering.

Solanke should never have been bought as I said at the time. Bang average bevause he is mentally weak, and that translates to physical impairment. Homestly just a waste of a lot of money.

I would take Madison at 20% over Gallagher at 80% or even Simon's at 80%, at least Madison can drop a shoulder create space and look to go forward and not always taking the safe backwards pass.
I think if Richy can stay fit then we don't miss Solanke that much, he has been pretty ineffective since his return and the fact we spent 60m on each if them remains a crime against football.
I hope Muani is out for the rest of the season, complete waste of space, an oxygen thief who can jog on to juve asap.

Solanke: 3 goals, 0 assists
Ricky Lad: 9 goals, 4 assists

Even Stevie Wonder would see that Solanke is no loss
He can hold the ball and join up play. It just bounces off Richie or he gets out paced or out muscled. Richie might get the odd scruffy goal, but it’s not like he’s capable of running down the side of the centre back and pinging it in the corner. Even though it was a bit toothless in the first half we held possession a lot better than after when Richie came on. Xavi and Maddison are the big misses though

Solanke won't be missed. He doesn't play with any passion. Football is a business to him. He got his big move. He got a generational pay rise that will afford him and his family a comfortable life. I doubt he gets a second contract and pretty sure he doesn't want one. Can see him retiring early knowing Spurs enriched him. Sort of bloke you won't hear from or see again until he passes away. Fuck him and his stupid bow and arrow celebration. Would be no fucking good in Lord Of The Rings would he? Oh look, I've only got three arrows for the whole film as a swarm of orcs devour him in scene one. Cunt!!!

You guys really need to engage your brain a little and apply some context, Solanke is crap but so is Richy...we are going to need both players in the run in.

Playing with Tel or an extra midfielder might be better than Solanke.
If you look at Solanke's stats for games, they are astonishingly bad. To the point where any professional player would achieve the same

Whats tel's stats playing as a ST?

Richy has better stats than Solanke, do we far any better with him up top?

I think both Richy and Solanke are bad.
Our best performance was against Athletico at home - when neither played.

We fucked either way, anyone you play up top is complete ass

I'm just a bit bored with agenda monkeys pointing fingers at one player and blaming them when the alternative is just as bad or even worse.
