Tbf you are being a bit ridiculous.

What should we do? Just roll over?

We expect the players to have some pride. To find a way. To battle. They have to find a way and they will.

It is what it is. It's time for someone else to be a hero.

I asked how are we going to approach this match and I'm being ridiculous, huh?

I don't understand your post?

Yet in the Europa final we had no Xavi, Kulu, Madders, Kudus - we scored and should have had 2 but Solanke missed a 1 on 1. We can score goals with or without Xavi - I’ve seen us do it

May I suggest you stop talking to yourself?

Against a shit Utd team who had nothing for us on the day, we created 1 chance all match which was bundled in - that isn't sustainable in one match let alone 4.

If you are genuinely just asking that then fine, I apologise.

However, your posts read as if you're melting. Again, if you're not, then fine.

The genuine answer to your question of how we approach this game is that we pick a team we think will win. We pick our best 11, work with them all week and go for it.

My guess is Bergvall comes in and his energy drives others.

We also created the 1 v 1 for Solanke that he missed - so we created 2 chances from open play.

I think 7 points will be enough - so we may only have to score 2 more goals this season - yet you think that’s nigh on impossible now Xavi is injured

Like Bob said, you are being ridiculous and need to find a bit of back bone

We approach this game with maximum effort and desire. If we can’t play through Villa then we play over them.

Lower league sides often beat higher ranked teams - sometimes you have to go a little bit Wimbledon

There's a lot of ridiculousness on here at the moment.
Since RDZ took the reigns we've got 4 points from 9 (should have been 6 from 9).
Wolves took 7 points from Liverpool, Villa and Arse in their last 3 home games, they haven't been pushovers there, but we came away with the points.

We can either throw in the towel and sink into depression for the next 4 games, or.....we can be positive, get behind the team and hope we get the job done.

I don’t get why people are so despondent at this point. There are only 2 points in it with 4 games to go and we have both the better Goal Difference and the better fixtures.

Posted on another thread but West Ham have never won away at Brentford in the PL era - you have to go back 70 odd years for an away win for them.

Their game after that is Woolwich at home - they’ve won once in 20 years.

Our recent record at Villa isn’t great, but we’ve not lost at home to Leeds for 20 years and have won all of our last 5 against them.

I can easily envisage a scenario where we take 3 points and they take 1 from the next 2 games - getting us out of the relegation zone on GD. Potentially only 1 goal would need to be scored by us for that.

I hope udogie is fit because as we see time and again spence offers nothing at left back. We at least need some balance in the team.

The reason villa suits us more is they play a high line and we will come out and press them hard with another weeks rest and force mistakes, they will be focused on the Europa league.

Tel needs to start on the left, Tel and udogie there ill cause problems for Villa, then gallagher pressing with richie trying to force turn overs high. RKM will play right as we have no choice, hes been poor but where this game might suit him is high turn overs running in behind.

Haha if you want to call that a chance when he didn't even take a fekin shot lol then be my guest but you realise that creating the same chance is likely to end up in the same outcome don't you?

I don't think it's 'nigh on impossible' I said it makes our situation more difficult so let's not try and put words in my mouth, however you categorically said that Xavi is no great loss which in our current circumstance I find ridiculous.

It's funny how you've been bleating since the start of the year how we're gonna get relegated and you've been crying practically every day on here about our state and I'm the one who needs a bit of back bone, brilliant. 😆

That’s because you were telling everyone no way we get relegated back in Jan - but those with a bit of nous could see the problems and could see you were 100% wrong on that.

Us getting into this shit was very obvious after that West Ham game - that’s when I called it. That doesn’t mean we will go down though as we have finally hired a decent manager who can get more than the sum of the parts he has - hence my renewed optimism.

You need to stop being all despondent “how do we approach this game” - just like any other, with a tactical plan that gives us the best chance of winning - we have a manager now that can do that

Yeah my bad for asking a legitimate question of how we're going to setup in the fucking match thread, who's being ridiculous now lmao

This is not me being despondent mate - just because I dismissed your silly comment about Xavi and your delusional idea that we will somehow repeat the EL final which was a one off and an entirely unsustainable strategy of scoring goals...not just this match but the 3 after that.

You've just got sand in your vag because I made reference to your comment in my post.

A lot depends on the results before our game.

Villa will be tired, although the 7pm kick-off (which is just incredible) gives them a bit longer to refresh the legs.

If Villa find themselves effectively in the CL by Sunday, which is possible, Emery might just go light.

Either way if it were down to me I would just try and run them off the park, which is possibly why having Sarr in this game would maybe be advantageous.

Let's hope Forest take a 2-goal lead on Thursday.

Bob put it best, you are being a bit ridiculous

I reckon this season is probably going to be the first season we end up below them in the football league for 20 years, unless we can claw back 6 points in 4 matches and improve the goal difference.
Nah we’re below them for sure - they will pump Burnley on Friday night and 43 points is comfortable enough to finish ahead of us.

I don’t believe in the conspiracy’s - but the have been incredibly fortunate with the amount of night games they have played at Elland road this season - a tough ground to go to under the lights

You want me to stop asking questions about the match in the match thread about how we are going to setup but yeah, sure...

I do hope your plan of lumping it to the big man to win set pieces is going to work!
