Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Solanke isn't necessarily the problem its our atrocious wide men.

Put half decent wide players around solanke and our front line would so much more able to keep possession higher up the pitch and create better chances. Spence doesn't cross the ball, Udogie cant cross, muani and porro gave the ball away continously in good positions in the first half yesterday,

Richarlison cant play football properly so this doesn't matter to him, guess we need to just lump it in the box for one to drop to him and hope he bundles one in
He's never where he needs to be when we attack. Even when good balls go in, he's at the edge of the box in no man's land. We continuously spammed crosses last season, BJ was the top scorer, benefitting almost exclusively from crosses.

Never have any faith that he's actually going to score. He was just the benefactor of being in a team that had a system in place that suited him. I'd rather have a player who bundles a goal in (rich of you to say that when Solanke scored a goal by kicking it off himself), than this idiot that's just runs aimlessly, or some games where he doesn't even do that.

Diabolical player and a player that's a championship/relegation standard player. £65m, travesty.

Has a mind blowing 3 premier league goals this season.

He is better than that stat suggests bit nowhere as good as we thought we were buying, not that I thought he could do it for us.

There's a reason why he didn't make it at Liverpool, less so when young at Chelsea, nut the same as why Frank didn't get the job at United or Chelsea.

Not good enough for what this club needs in relation to where it thinks (and many others) think it should be.

What we do in the summer is obviously dependent on which league we are in but I will be surprised if Solanke is at the club this time next year.

His 15 appearances this year are the reason we’re going down? What did all our other strikers contribute? Richy got 9, what about everyone else in the role?

Confused Looking For GIF by Looney Tunes
The guy missed the NLD with a sore throat. Enough said.

He's a big fan of cartoons, though, so he'll love your gif skills.

Kane only has a year left.
Gotta stay up and at least try

Guy isn’t terrible he’s just really quite average. It was always a relatively risky signing given he’d had one good goalscoring year in the league in his late twenties. We’ve just predictably got him when he’s also started to suffer from injuries.

Lol, regardless of if we stay up or not, the fucking front runner for the Ballon d’or who is playing for one of the star sides in Europe is not coming to a team battling it out for relegation.

The Kane dream would be somewhat believable if we were still a competitive side at the top end of the table. It’s absolute delusion now.

After we got him in i would hope he would be saying that regardless of whether he was actually first choice or not.

Managers lie sometimes, this could well be one of them.

My memory of it is hazy but from what I do recall he was very convincing in regard to wanting Solanke. He could of course have just been saying it but the enthusiasm didn’t come across that way. Most managers would usually just nod along and say we’re very happy to have him.

The guy also 100% wanted Pedro Neto. Who I’ll be fair with, I definitely rated. But has basically been a lot of nothing at Chelsea. So maybe the talent ID just isn’t there.

Watch what happened before, can guarantee you its because he linked the play. Even Porros goal the other day, it started because of Solanke. There are countless examples of this, we are so struggling even more with the kudus and odobert injury as they are technically capable players with the ball.

Theres a reason last year all our forwards scored more when Solanke lead the line compared to the season prior.

when Richarlison starts other forwards dont score.

Saying that because we have no footballers in our front line our only hope now is on Richarlison, so hopefully he and set peices can keep us up

Yeah his best work is in build up .. he’s good at holding it up and his general link up play is good.

This is essentially what he was prior to an excellent Bournemouth season. He was never super prolific at the top level. He could get you 9-10 goals a season while linking play and working hard.

We just overpaid. A lot.
