Am I getting this right?

He's opted not to take an operation which he needs, so he can go to the world cup and play on a leg he needs an operation on, so will either a) get injured and be out for longer or b) get the operation once he's finished the WC and had a nice rest and then be out for months for us next season (whereever that is).

If he play WC and then opts for the op before oct, he can off to fuck, the cheeky prick.

idle thought: I wonder if his decision would have been the same if we were definitely staying up?

You have that right, correct.

He probably does make the same decision because playing at a WC for your country probably means more than playing for a team you have no affinity to, but it's ridiculously disrespectful to treat your employer like that. He's a prick anyway, I hope he's binned in the summer.

Our new Ndombele

Completely useless, a sulker, and will be a massive burden

His second season at the spammers should have been a huge red flag

What a joke of a signing

Completely useless - arguably our best player this season

A sulker - Hasn't sulked as far as I know

Will be a massive burden - You got one of those time machines?

You went 3 for 3 fair play lol

1) Was he fuck our best player. The tactics of the great Thomas Frank was spam it to him, and instead of doing the right thing, he stood the ball up and tried beat his man 20x before smashing into the first man, or its easily dealt with because his show boating allows teams to get back into a defensive shape. It's easy to pad stats when you have by far the most usage. A whopping 24% cross completion.
Odobert on that wing, on the short sample size was far more effective than Kudus was because he did the right things early, and he's not as good a footballer, but Kudus has no football IQ. Complete showpony.

2) Acting like a baby when subbed for being absolutely dung. Refusing to get surgery to play at the world cup, while sitting out the remaining games with us. Numerous reports of him wanting out, Ali Gold saying he's a part of the group that's disrupting training.

3) We spent far too much on him, far too big a wage. He'll probably get injured at the world cup, need surgery and we don't get money for him and have to pay him silly wages while we're in the Championship.

3 for 3. Fair play.

Edit: Shadydan Shadydan kingdawson kingdawson My humble apologies, I misread and will willingly redact said point. However, the rest stands. And you two are still absolute morons to the nth degree.
Peace.

Which is another reason that even a year after he was finally sacked, his actions at Spurs are having significant repercussions.

Anyone who doesn't hold Ange and Levy at least partially, if not largely, culpable for this mess, is in fantasy land.
Bad management doesn't end as soon as that management is replaced if you let it go too far.

I think there's a nugget of truth in what you've written, wrapped up in a good bit of supposition and speculation.

It's not unheard of for an injury to be able to be treated by operation or alternative methods (I'm assuming rest, recuperation, physio, etc). I believe there are benefits to going down the non-op route if it is viable, so Kudus' preference isn't necessarily all that wild.

However, I think we've seen a number of attempts to do this over recent years, which have resulted in setbacks and then the player just having the op anyway, presumably this is why the medical team are advising an op, though also note that they seem to be suggesting this now months after the injury and another attempt of healing without it...

Ultimately, seems he should have had an op ages ago, and now that ship has sailed, the player would prefer to take whatever chance there is of playing at the WC, however slim (and foolish) it may be.

Thank you, exactly what I wanted to say

I didn't know about Ali gold saying Kudus is part of a group that disrupted training

What a mess

Just like most of our signings in recent history we got absolutely rinsed for this guy, £60m was an insane fee

If he was £30m everyone would be relatively OK with it, but £60m? nah

He would’ve improved us if fit .. I dunno why people argue against that. He was leading the league for assists when he went down and we were clearly doing better with him in the side.

It doesn’t make him world class, he’s just a lot better than Kolo Muani & co. He’s an asset. He can take people on and he can create dangerous situations.

It’s also fucking outrageous that he’s going to risk his future health and put off what is probably a very needed surgery to go to a World Cup. It’s outrageous that we pay these guys insane money to play football and there’s essentially no consequences for them ignoring medical advice.

I get the World Cup is a huge deal for any player but these are ultimately assets worth tens of millions that the club pays millions yearly. If he aggravates the injury at the World Cup and then needs even more extensive surgery he could be out for a year plus, after already missing a large part of this season. That is absolutely fucking insanity.

Tbh if he goes against medical advice to play at the WC then gets injured and takes the op he has to go or have his wages taken away, there must be something in contracts about that kind of thing surely?

For those that say hes uselss however Wolves was our first win since he got injured if I'm not mistaken? He def affected games and was our only attacking threat the whole season.

I don’t think he’s an absolute duffer and he’d have been a lot better on the wing than RKM (but a string bag of oranges would have been better than RKM).

But to use the well worn TFC argument “is he getting in to the first eleven of top teams?” - no, he’s nowhere near even a rotational option for the great and good. So shouldn’t be for us either. A definite overpay and underwhelm.

Definitely won’t be. Players are insanely well protected and clubs would probably abuse small injuries to stop players going to the World Cup if that were possible.

It’s his decision, but frankly just on a personal level possibly risking your physical health and top level career to go to a World Cup is stupid - he’s still relatively young.

1) Had the highest number of assists in the league prior to getting injured.

2) "acted like a baby when subbed" when did that happen? Ali gold said he disrupts training? When?

3) your 3rd point is a random rant.

You have failed badly today Papatouches. Shame on you.

I mean can we blame him?
