As one of the biggest clubs, with one of the biggest fan bases....An ever present, and one of the BIG 5 that pushed for and instigated the very league itself....why do you think we're not a beneficiary of this supposed corruption?

Why would the league be conspiring to lose one of it's most glamorous, highest wealth generating clubs and have them replaced with a club like Milwall or Middlesbrough?

Not great for the brand or global tv audience, is it.

Incidently, Newcastle and Villa fans also think the league is corrupt. With the Big 6 (including Spurs) conspiring to keep them breaking the cabal by preventing them spending to break in.
I didn't say anything about the PL conspiring to lose us, just that they're corrupt.

I KNOW we're not a beneficiary because I watch the games. I KNOW that others aren't because I watch their games too.

And guess what, I know who the actual beneficiaries are because, you guessed it, I watch their games as well.

If you're not seeing it...

I think you're right IF we don't come straight back up.
First season we can offset it with player sales but after that we would be fucked.
Yeah, if we go down we need to take it v.seriously and ensure we have a team strong enough to come back up. Might mean holding on to a few players we could make big money for, and buying some players too good for the Championship.

Would cost us more in the short term, but the financial implications of us not coming straight back up would be catastrophic.

If we take the 'everything will be fine' approach we did in Jan we're gonna be fucked.

So we are fucked then :D

I think everyone is on the same page really. A significant number of the highest earners have to go, but not all of them.
Part of that will solve itself because the players will want out. I’m sure their agents are already at work.

Nah. Confirmation bias.

You've just repeated your rhetoric without answering my question. Why Spurs?

You're looking for excuses to explain why we are where we are. You're heads in the sand and you refuse to face the reality of how a club with our resources can actually finish 4th bottom and then the following season likely be relegated.

I guarantee you every single PL club has a section of fans as convinced as you that the league is corrupt with officials conspiring against them.

We're not about to become the wealthiest, biggest club ever to be relegated because of a conspiracy....It's because we have the worst owners in the league itself.

Thats where you'll find your corruption.

Nice try, not biting.

Your question is irrelevant because I haven't stated that the corruption is directly aimed at us. In fact, in another post, I've stated the reason why we are where we are...

You must have ignored missed that.

When we go down, we will be there for years due to financial mismanagement .

I need everyone to understand this and get used to that reality.

We would come immediately back up. Our under 21 players combined with keeping a few seniors (solanke can score 30 in the championship) would have us piss the championship. Moore would be one of the best wingers there. Danso would be a very good CB at that level etc.

That’s without considering someone like Maddison would probably stay and would be laughably above championship level, Kulu may also come back .. etc.

No if required. That's exactly what will happen, not even the bare minimum. And the things those mugs do do, you just know it'll be awful.

They won't. They're turds who don't know zilch about football. We're proper fucked.
100% agree they know shit about football. There's no reason the club should be complacent this time though. Incompetent, sure, but not complacent - if they don't come straight back up they're completely and utterly screwed and anyone who isn't sacked this summer will be turbo-fucked.

After the past few years I would've be at all surprised if you're proved right, though.

This relegation battle has really brought out the best in you.

Nah, whilst vaste swaths of fault lies on us.

People denying the referring against us are just as guilty of burying their heads in the same sand.

Why haven't we been award a single penalty this season despite blatant fouls in the box.

People seem to really enjoy catastrophising this scenario, like doing a Sheffield Wednesday or a Coventry is the probably outcome or something, with no consideration whatsoever given to the current financial landscape being a world away from what those sides were working in.

When Newcastle went down and then absolutely waltzed their way back up under Rafa is more comparable, except they were less financially powerful, and even more dysfunctional than us in terms of playing staff.

My only concern is how frail our lot are, if something doesn't change there then we might will find it difficult to dominate the division. We absolutely can't have another situation where we have no creative midfielders or wingers available for selection.

They were complacent in January when it was clear to the whole friggin galaxy we were in dire need of reinforcements.

When down in the Champo, they won't change their ways. Quite the opposite. Their arrogance will be off the charts. They'll think we have a PL squad full of top players, plenty big names coming back from injury, of course we gonna win 46 games, no need to do anything special.

They did fuck all for ol 'Arry when he got us to the CL, they had a moronic summer after Bale left for Real, they signed nobody for Poch for 18 months and fucked him off bare weeks after he took a depleted squad to the CL final (where we got robbed)...25 years of the same shit. Relegation ain't g9nna change a thing. They're a cancer, doing fuck all and/or fucking things up is their MO.
