A good manager needs to work with what he has. Why did it work for the first ten games and never again? Players have not changed?

And yeah, every team from the Premier League to the National League wants to play like Bayern or Paris. There are reasons why they can't and need to focus on the shit they actually can do, to be succesful in their limits.
Ange had a 4 or 5 year contract, and he said from day one, that it would take him 3-4 seasons to get the players he wanted playing the way he wanted.

I am not sure what you want to say but whatever it is, it does not take away the point hat Ange's failure in the league has more to do with himself than the players he had available. And its pretty hilarious to make comparisions with managers who have proven themselves more ten times on the highest stage than Ange, who is out of the job as he earned 0,25 points per game during his last appointment.

Uh yeah like I said he was stubborn so it's to do with himself and the players...

The only comparison I have made is style of play, not achievements.

Kompany got a team relegated playing the exact same tactics he's playing now earning similar PPG that Ange got yet he's on the verge of a CL final, what does that tell you?

It's not science.

Funny you believe that bullsh*t. Because obviously you still need to produce results and development as this business does not give you 3-4 seasons for free. No chance, at no club. How should we acquire the top players he wanted if we are not in Europe and sh*t for a few seasons? Good players like Van de Ven etc do not want to wait either for 3-4 years to maybe be good. They will walk and push for a way out before that.

You now compare Anges squad available to Kompanys squad at Burnley? It tells me you are far off the mark.

Did the management get him the players he wanted? NO

Playing attacking football above all else does require you to have the best players, to spend the most money, have the best scouting, etc.

Pretty sure most managers could do well at a club that has the very best players. In the same way almost every manager will struggle with shite players.

On last nights match, we watched two juggernauts going at it. Rested players who play in easier leagues. No huge surprise they could go toe to toe like that.

Oh the absolute cracker of an argument that “these team score lots of goals and Ange wanted us to score lots of goals therefore Ange was right” argument has resurfaced again. What an absolute fucking joy.

Any cunt on here could tell the team to go and attack and play a high line.

If the management had backed him over 4 years, we would have been playing like PSG & Bayern did.
End of story.

I love attacking football. I don’t think any manager who wants to play attacking football is great automatically.

You can win and do well with basically any style.. the success bit is in the nuance between that. I think we should want to emulate attacking football because entertaining is in our DNA and because it’s more interesting.

When Ange first started, I already thought he was the best thing ever because he’s Australia and I’m Australian and therefore I decided to fanboy him and would never change my mind on him no matter what he does anywhere. My opinion on him is basically irrelevant because I’m the equivalent of one of those annoying people on twitter with a player in their profile who constantly tell everyone that player is the best at everything.

FTFY.

As a heads up, X would do X if he got X is not an argument, it’s just fan fiction.

Reckon Ange can do what Kompany is doing now, Kompany has the personality to work with big players and at top clubs I see similar traits in Ange, he'd get a buy in from those players because of his aura.
