However, nearly all those from open play are one time finishes, headed finishes, or maybe a single touch. What's that mean for us? He's not a creator. He needs service that we can't hope to provide.
Apart from his rarely being available, he was never a player who was destined to help us very much, in my opinion.
Get a no 10 behind him and some half decent wingers and he'd be fine, seems obvious but he's missing the support he had at Bournemouth where he had players surrounding him and gave him service - thus being their main talisman. Don't think he's had anywhere near that same sort of service since he's been here.

Apart from the comedy of him never having any hope of the service he got at Bournemouth - He will be 29 at the start of next season and injuries have already broken him down. Whatever potential he may have had originally, there's simply no reason to count on a meaningful contribution from him again.
