Although the result was the most important thing from today, it was so encouraging and pleasing that the performance was top notch. Hopefully, this can continue until the end of this season.

It's still not getting through to people just how catastrophically bad the 2024 summer window was for Spurs. Back in Europe, playing twice a week and we signed Solanke and teenagers. Those teenagers then had to play a lot because we had the never ending injury crisis.
In a perfect world Gray and bergvall would only now be getting minutes in the odd PL game and Cup games. The fact they've been starters for us since November 2024 is why we are in the mess we are.
Richie was amazing tonight. Didn't stop running, kept them so busy. I hope he's alright.

Let's be clear here. Not a favour. That side Dick picked was for Villa and not us. We benefited but.....
They were not, we harried and harassed them into servility. Outstanding performances like that make good teams look shite.
We shut it all down. We earned the win. If Tel had been less selfish, we'd have been 4-0 up before HT.
I said we played great and yes we fully earned the win. Probably our best 90 minute performance of the entire season.
But c'mon man, that was a weakened Villa team and they didn't even have a shot on target until the 96th minute. We made them look bad...but they also played shite and clearly had Europa in mind.

FWIW ; I’ve always thought the Unai Emery had devoted himself to getting one over the Arse ever since they sacked him ( having given him the impossible task of replacing AW ; hence he’s one of our own , when you think about it ) , just saying.

You play what you can. We did the same and we were up for it, played some sexy football and totally deserved the win against a strong opponent. We lose that game 9/10 times with Frank or Tudor.
Respect to Zebedi, he's sprung us into action.
We fielded our best team available, missing 8 or 9 of our first 11. You can't reframe this as anything other than a monumental success.
