Come on. That's a bit of a rose tinted glasses view.
The area around West Ham's ground changed well before they moved out of the Boyleyn Ground. Most of their fans lived nowhere near it. If they hadn't moved, they would probably be in the Championship now.
There all whining now, but they crowed like fuck when they 'beat' us to getting the Olympic Stadium.

It really isn’t. The area and the Upton Park ground where shit but shit in a proper football way like the old White Hart Lane, their ground was a real football stadium. The Olympic stadium is horrific, it’s not remotely suited to football, every West Ham fan I know no longer goes to games and the stadium is the number one reason. They consider the ground move to be far worse than relegation, it’s really that bad a ground and also they have experienced relegation. Ask every West Ham fan I know if they would take relegation to return to Upton Park and they would bite your hand off.

OK. I get what your saying. But time moves on.
What's a 'real' football stadium by the way? Did 'real' football stadiums exist over a hundred years ago, or did they suddenly appear in the 1960/70s?

From sKUMB

"Spurs fans moaning about how unfair life is for them, when they have it so good compared to us is hard to take. Went on the fighting cock, mostly complaining how hard they have it as they are such a huge club and should be winning it all but also how amazing it is to relegate us is just insufferable".

There must be another Fighting Cock forum somewhere?
Did they mention you by name?

A "real football stadium" would be one designed for football, even ours as a multi-use stadium was designed with football primarily in mind.
Like Everton's new gaff.

West Ham have a stadium that was built for athletics, football was an afterthought bodge job.

You shouldn't even need to ask this question because it's as obvious as the nose on your face.

Yep and its not only the ground itself but the area like you mention. Seeing west ham fans stroll around Westfield and hackney hipster wick on home days is funny but I can't help feeling bad for them. Thank fuck we stayed in Tottenham surrounded by Spurs boozers.

I used to love our visits to the Boleyn ground especially cheering a goal for us in the Bobby Moore stand!
