Fact, Stevie is not fully blind, he was born prematurely before they understood well that giving Oxygen at high saturation damages the capillaries in the retina (what is now termed retinopathy of prematurity). So in the course of saving him, his sight was largely destroyed.

I’d say this better sums up Charlie F here;

I was impressed with his interview with Sky, seems a very grounded, calm and quietly confident young man. What happened in Madrid would have been a calamity for even an established professional. He's done exceedingly well to bounce back as well as he has.
Considering his age and experience, he's doing really well, and hope that he will come on in leaps and bounds, next season.
I will be disappointed if Vicario gets back into the team, RDZ needs to show the same cojones as Toni, and not select him (Vic) as No 1.

Watch the end of the extended highlights on the official Spurs YouTube channel if you want confirmation of whether Kinsky had a chance of making the save or not.

Unlike other coverage it’s taken from an angle in front of goal and clearly shows the height the ball loops over Kinsky.

He’s not reaching that without a step ladder!

If anyone should have done better it’s probably VDV.

Kinsky hasn’t put a foot wrong since coming into the team, and Vicario is terrible. That said, I still think Kinsky is not a good enough shot stopper to be our number 1 (unless we were relegated). We look much better as a side with him in goal, and not just the kicking. Personally Vicario’s weakness from set pieces is even worse than his kicking (and his kicking is pretty shocking). Maybe this run of games and new goal keeping coaches could develop his game to a new level, but I certainly don’t want him sold next season.

Must get rid of Vicario. Actually the player I want out the most. I agree that Kinsky, so far, isn't quite at the level for no.1 in PL. But he's a very good no.2 with potential.

Difficult to tell . If you watch it again just looking at Kinsky - you will see he does not give himself a chance. Instead of going up he goes lower.

If Kinsky can improve his shot stopping he will be a very good keeper for us. It almost looks like he's not fully committed to saving shots, like i think there was one against Atletico where he looks like he pulls his arm back. Get a brilliant coach whos going to raise his shot stopping to a new level and we might actually have a bit of a gem.

Or get a keeper who is doesn't need to learn how to save shots..
Loan out for a couple of years.

Shows how much calmer the defence can be without a flappy pair of gloves behind.

But honestly, Vicario always blaming the defence whenever he conceded was just so demoralising. I really don't wish to see him back for us precisely because of this.
