Even if they played us one day after the FA Cup final, they will still be full of energy and we will be lethargic. Why people keep thinking their shorter rest period will drain them. It never happened and will never be an advantage to us ever. If any, it's going to be much worse as they will have the momentum of playing. And whatever the outcome of the cup final, they will just be all out to dump us down. That's the sole purpose of their existence.

They will put all their focus and energy in the FA Cup final and then it's season over for them. Don't believe for a second that any of the current multimillionaire Chelsea players care whether we or west ham go down.

Draw or narrow away win.

-Tottenham's last league win against Chelsea was a 2-0 victory on 26 February 2023 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane secured the three points for Spurs
has been over three years. Tottenham have not managed a single win in any competition against Chelsea since that 2-0 victory on 26 February 2023

Let’s face it extra times and hopefully a loss on penalties is the ideal outcome . Extra time and a win on penalties should be the ideal outcome as they will probably go on the lash , but this lot winning anything can never be ideal.

I have said numerous times I despise them more than Woolwich

Skipp's shit he's in league one now, and we're a better team without Kane.

Even if they played us as soon as the Final whistle blew in the cup final.

Too early to even read this thread.

We need to get our most important game of the season at St. James' Park on Sunday out of the way first.
I’m fucking scared of that game, my hope is

1) it’s Newcastles last home game of a very poor season so hopefully they feel like they owe their fans a performance.

2)They will surely want to try and avoid the embarrassment of finishing below Sunderland who they are only 2 points behind, that’s a big factor for them I think.

Going to the Chavs in the relegation zone is a nightmare scenario, no faith that we wouldn’t totally fold.

For some reason I am in confident mood. It's mainly because of the FA Cup final being three days before. It presents us a huge opportunity. Plus they have a caretaker manager in charge.

We are fighting for our lives, and we are better away from home. The final will take a massive lot out of them, and I fully expect City will beat them in the final so they will be deflated too. It may even go to extra time.

Ok we may not win, but a draw is absolutely possible. If we can get a draw, or even a win, it remains in our hands, and depending on what happens in the other game, it may even secure our PL status.

Last win at the Bridge was 8 years ago.
In those 8 years, 6 losses and 2 draws.

They're in really bad form, we can definitely get something out of this.

I know they got a draw at anfield, but so did we under Tudor. And they beat Leeds at Wembley just to get turned over by a reserve Forest side at home.

If the team go into this game with the same mentality as people on here that we're gonna lose then it will happen. Thats the negative mentality De Zerbi's trying to get rid of.

Plus this game is right after the FA cup final which helps us. I don't think it really matters that they still have something to play for considering they also had everything to play for when they lost 6 league games in a row.

If we get a draw and Toon give their fans a last home game performance and beat spam, we're safe.

Toon v Spam on Sunday is gargantuan for us.

We then can go into Tursday knowing we just need adraw to retain our status.

Like ffs please.

I cannot take a final day cliffhanger.

Same mate. I just have a terrible feeling West Ham win up there. But that is me essentially catastrophising. The fact remains it will still be a tough game, Newcastle have a good side, and West Ham will be playing under immense pressure. And they really need to win. A draw or a defeat does nothing for them. That means they will need to go at Newcastle, which leaves Newcastle lots of space to hit them on the counter. They have zero margin for error. Every chance Newcastle do them or at least draw.

After the immediate disappointment of last night, I am actually moving into more positive mood again. But so much hinges on that game.

The good thing at least is, we have a game after them where we will know the outcome and can respond.

Ultimately if we go down from here, we genuinely will deserve it.

So we are due a Win then? :allitongue:

Our away form this season still stands up.

70% of the time we don’t lose.
And 40% of the time we win!!

So 110% of the time we are unbeatable!!

A draw would have obviously done nothing for them IF we had won last night but a draw does do something for them if we inevitably lose to Chelsea. We would only be one point ahead and I don't think anybody would back us with any confidence to beat Everton on the last day. West Ham would then need to beat Leeds , highly possibly and probably likely.

Do we want Chelsea to win or lose the FA Cup? If they win, they might be hungover. If they lose, they might be deflated, or determined to make it up to the fans by beating us.

I know we want injuries of course. That's a Shay.
