You're *

I played a full match with 40 degree fever once, and 15 mins with a broken ankle another time. Also tore a pec muscle once, didn't tell anybody and still turned up for my team til I was forced to sit out. I'm not superman or anything, loads of players spend their career not 100% fit yet still do the business week in week out. But you've also got wuss anime fans who'll stay home for months cause they clipped a nail too short.

Anyway, convo over. You rate mediocrity and deserve relegation. We don't.

Superhero this one 🤣
Corrects spelling and grammar too

I don't rate him right now but we need something on the bench for Chelsea. Against Leeds we had 5 midfielders and no forwards. If we go a goal down, we could be in trouble.
I think he's done for the season. There is an international pokemon tournament next week which he's been called up for and then the following week is the Quidditch world cup which he's hoping to be a part of. Apparently, hes a first class seeker. They seek him here, they seek him there, they seek him bloody every where. Is he getting treatment, or planting a tree. That damn, elusive So-wank-eeee.

I was never keen on Solanke, I thought we had set our sights far too low considering we had Kane ffs.
Our recruitment has been penny pinching shite and nigh on scandalous.

I think our recruitment has been poor, in not understanding the character and quality of players.

Much as I don't particularly rate Solanke, there have been very few strikers bought since we signed him that were known or shown to be better at the time.

I don't think penny-pinching is the specific issue.

Richarlison can't play a full 90 minutes.
I don't think Solanke offers much threat at all, but at least he's a fresh pair of legs.
Could even argue he could start to run around for 50 minutes until the opposition are tired, and THEN use Richarlison.

Solanke would be good for the Chelsea game. His work rate and hold up play is streets ahead of Richarlison. But I'd much rather have Richarlsion up front on the final day against Everton but he is far more likely to score a goal!

I don't know what De Zerbi thinks of Solanke, who has done little to suggest he would be a worthwhile signing for any PL team if we went down.

In that case we might be left with him in the Championship, theoretically where Solanke would flourish, one hopes with necessary service.

My concern is that even if we went down, we are still a big club with the expectation of Solanke being the lead striker, and I really think he cannot cope with the burden.

I hope we stay up, and look to sell him but it's absolutely clear that there is not this big pool of strikers out there ready to pick from, when you consider Thiago, Mateta, Wissa etc, none of whom are brilliant or strikers who score from nothing.

Not an easy one, so we sell Solanke at a risk of not necessarily finding that much better.

I think his hold up play is over rated.
He does no better than Muani in that he keeps it for 5-10 seconds then loses it.
