I agree.
However bear in mind that Romero could actually be consistent under RDZ. Its early to say, but we have seen improvement in our players already.
I would not like to compare Ndombeles motivation for football with Romero.
But you're completely right - Romero has not been good enough, best version in my opinion was his first 10 games under Ange and Conte which was a long time ago.
Was N'Dombele Player of the Tournament and MOM in the Final of a major European Trophy that Spurs won?
Yup, I'm not going to discount this, but I think if that was going to happen it ended with his recent injury. I don't think that he'll play for us again, unless the rumored interest in him completely fails to materialize (again).
At this point I would rather De Zerbi focus his attention on VdV.
He gets away with more, yea.
But he's also a much superior player. Completely different class. He is more sly with his fouls. He is a much better defender. And he also scores more than Romero.
