It's worse because Xavi plays for Tottenham and Havertz is on the team that they want to win the league this year.
The thing that disturbs me so much about the Havertz challenge not being given a red is that he has made no attempt to play the ball. He deliberately goes in the back of the calf. Even Roy Keane said that it would have been a red in his day. Same with all the ex pros because they know it was a violent lunge.
At this point I think there is something nefarious going on but to just assume there isn't, the officials are so incompetent and up their own arse, they slow it down to look at "force" instead of seeing the reality of the situation. Wood from the trees...
