No - that it is an orchestrated effort to push them towards the title for "variety"
To be honest, this season really does feel like that but I just can't bring myself to believe it's a big conspiracy and not just gross incompetence across the board.

Like, are we really supposed to believe that the uber-rich owners of other clubs would be happy to be a part of some big puppet show?
I do think that there's a certain amount of favouritism and maybe a small amount of corruption but I don't think it's as big a conspiracy as all that.

I just think that it's a shower of shit, being run by people who don't really know what they're doing.
A bit like politics.

It will be United that Sky and the officials are lapping up next season. And they will do their damnedest to make sure United win the title.

It's all narratives with Sky and that's the narrative they are building towards. They want that Woolwich vs Man Utd rivalry of the early 00's and they want them trading titles.

The guy who used to run it said it was their "strategy", and we're seeing one of the crappest teams in the league gifted more opportunity and grace than any other team would get in an accumulation of a decade.
It isn't just because it was 'them' - we saw similar with Leicester 10 years ago.

We haven't had a great season, but there's a start dichotomy between the officiating between us and them, and - to be honest- not an awful lot between the performances

Nah mate, we can hate on them as much as we like but that's really not the case.
I don't like the way they play the game, their tactics and all that shit but you cannot say that they're one of the crappiest teams in the league.
They're shit to watch but sadly, they're effective.

There is an argument to be had about the style and the quality of the PL recently but it's a very competitive league these days and that's going to result in seasons like this.
I do think that the officiating is atrocious and needs to be sorted but it's really not a conspiracy to make a league with this much money involved, a pantomime.

It's not some lizard people, Illuminati type shit going on.

People get mocked on here saying that the Prem is a big conspiracy and when something like this happens those people are nowhere to be seen 😆

VAR has ruined football.

And there's definitely an element affecting the refs performance on the pitch knowing its all been reffed in the VAR studio.

It's a system that is producing worse results than what we had before and crucially its hindering the entertainment value massively.

I mean, why can't they see this.

Should be starting a petition to get rid of it, millions would sign it

Remember we can do we what Havertz did and it’s a yellow tomorrow, but don’t pull anyones
Hair
🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣
TBF, we've already got away with that ... Cuti on Cuccarella, remember? I expect that to be rectified tonight!

They should have finished with 10 men!!

Neville called that tackle as a red card immediately!
Cos it WAS!
Cuti Romero makes that tackle and it’s a red. six months in Belmarsh... Any Woolwich player and it’s a simple yellow, even with VAR. Something fishy going on.
Fixed! Isn't it?!
The refs position makes it even more laughable, could not have been in a better place
The lino was right next to it too...

Why are you guys even watching their games? Why do it to yourselves?
Just in CASE!!

I. ANY global industry that has THAT amount of money is swilling around, There's gonna be corruption somewhere along the line....

.. shame they also chose to recreate OUR Relegation scrap of the mid/late-90's!!

There's no way anyone would look back on the highlights of Woolwich this season as see them as a team that was in title winning form.

They're an impartial VAR away from being at the same level as the 'meh' pack this season, like Liverpool.

Equally, if you count out the games we've lost or drawn because of dodgy VAR, we'd be nearer that 50 point threshold ourselves.

Of course they are mate. And there’s obviously absolutely no bias here, and you’ve impartially added up all the objective bad calls and good calls they’ve had to calculate this.

And I’m sure they’re in the CL final and topped the league stage because UEFA too keep giving them decisions.

They’re just very good. Very boring and draining (I dunno how you lot persist on watching them weekly to moan) but effective at winning football matches.

We were 4th in that very same stage.

Yeah mate we didn’t beat Bayern 3-1, inter away, Atletico 4-0 etc.

They are a good team. A very boring functional side but obviously good. The idea you can be top of the league, CL final, league cup final, fa cup semi final all because VAR is fucking stupid. And you know it is.

Their performances currently are poor .. it’s almost like it’s the arse end of the run in and they’re shitting it a bit.

That wasn't my point.

My point was that there isn't a huge difference between how this team and their has performed. Being allowed to wrestle in the box and clatter players without risk of being carded/penalised makes a big difference that shouldn't be title vs relegation.

Whoever wins the league will be beneficiaries of an overall poor level at the top. If United had sacked amorim 4 or 5 games earlier, we'd had a 16th place Man Utd winning the title with a manager who was worse than Scott Parker in the championship. That's not a judgement on any of those people or teams, but purely the small differences that are clearly quite significant on how the league looks
