Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Always remember that Rayan (a player we had apparently been watching for a while) was available in January for 25m and Lange proceeded to tell us there was no one available that could improve us.
I did mention him a year ago but not having watched a lot I was not sure if he could make it in the EPL. Luis Guilherme (West Ham) had a similar profile.
All credit to B'mouth for taking the risk - although €25m (+5m adds on) is not much of a risk now a days...a risk Spurs really could and should have taken....

Who is your preference?
Don't know but those players are very meh. We shouldn't be buying like that again, we know where we've gone thanks to that kind of buying. By know we should be buying proven Premier League players, like we did with Kudus last year. A LW and a striker should be a priority, Mitoma or Minteh I think are good options, as for a striker I really don't know who.

Of all the signings we’ve made over the years, this is the one you’ve got an issue with?

He was probably the highest rated young English player at the time. He’s still highly rated. He’s only 20. He clearly has talent. At £30m with Rodon and his salary going the other way, that wasn’t a bad deal at all.
I absolutely have an issue with the signing of Gray. At £40m he was a luxury signing, we had massively urgent problems in the squad that summer that we neglected to bring in a raw 18 year old to rotate along our defensive line for depth. He was a signing for a City, Woolwich or Liverpool to make, not a Tottenham team in obvious need of surgery.

It was fucking awful business from us.
