We had a reasonable amount of control last night, but totally lacked the penetration. Typically, Chelsea didn't put a foot wrong at the back for one match. Our starting 11 last night could only ever hope to manufacture a chance from a loose ball, a deflection etc. And at no point did it ever happen.
I could see Everton being similarly resolute at the back.

Is that any worse than starting him when the opposition players are presumably at their fittest and raring to go??
Potentially going into an early lead with him Starting, taking him off and defending for our lives may well be preferable to going 2 goals down, and expecting him to bust a gut to save us!!
