The PL is shit, in comparison to it's own history.

Football across the board is at it's lowest quality in decades.

They tried organisation and tactics with alonso but the big personalities will always win in that dressing room.

Villarreal, Atalanta and Frankfurt all won the old Europa League in 4 of the years prior to our win. They all had to get there beating clubs like Barcelona and Klopps Liverpool. Rangers made it to the final in the old format recently beating Dortmund and RB Leipzig. Definitely wasn't a competition dominated by the big teams.

It was way better, way more exciting. As much as I loved us winning it, it would have been way better if it was off the back of a great European campaign with historic games and European nights.

Quite recently. Constant top 6 finishes, qualifying for Europe every season, Champions League campaigns, playing great football with exciting players. The fact they got there in 8 years from being in the Championship, and are about to match Levys 25 year magnum opus from that position is honestly embarrassing for ENIC.

Completely disagree, it was a stupid rule 'rewarding' failure and unfair on the teams that had to get through the group stages.

I remember everyone moaning when CL 'losers' dropped into the EL, much prefer it as it is.

Anyway, not as if we have to worry about getting into Europe anytime soon!
 
Villa really good but Freiburg are awful and I thought us and United were crap last season.

Premier League financial power will enable EL and Conference League domination.
