Helps that I'm still Maltese at heart. My affinity for the England team depends on how many Spurs players are in the side.

I think he thinks Woolwich vibes will help. Have to remember that while Tuchel is German he is far more Jose Mourinho than Jurgen Klopp, he mostly values experience and physicality over technical. Wharton is probably the second best after Kane in terms of technique and he is apparently out.
