He hasn't put the creative burden on Jude, there's question marks whether he is going to start him. He is using Kane to being his creative outlet, managers never pick no10s to play with Kane because they take up the same spaces on the pitch and Kane wants everything to go through him hence why you don't need Palmer, Foden etc...

We are going to be functional so spectacular, we aren't going to get bums off seats but so what Tuchel isn't being judged on that, he's being judged on whether he can win the tournament. That's it.

Ok who replaces Kane's role if he gets injured?

Insane not to take Palmer imo.

What about a core of Rashford, Kane, Saka, Bellingham, Rice, Anderson, Guehi & James screams Brentford to you other than them being some of the best players in the league and in Europe, playing for the biggest clubs?

The bench is iffy, the eleven is as strong as any around.

Mainly about the attack around Kane - not many goals and assists there from the league this year -

Spence right back and James in midfield.

Rashford has 16 g/a in 31 games, the midfield all pop up with goals, Saka has clearly been unfit/injured most of the season and has only just been revitalised..

You also don’t need that many goals around Kane. You need to play in a way that services him as he can do the job of 2 goalscorers. The team is setup to get goals from the world’s best goalscorer.

At the euros England brought a plethora of goals and assists. We didn’t click. It was a bunch of players with different styles looking like strangers.

Tuchel wants guys who run, guys who are physical and give Kane movement. He wants battlers and he wants big set piece threats.

You don’t have to like that style but I personally am excited to see an England team with an identity and a plan, not just names on a teamsheet.

I know mate, but that role he's playing in terms of creative vision...only Palmer would come close to replacing him

Let's not act as if Palmer's been bang in form because he's been poor, same for Foden

I thought he'd take Palmer for the unpredictability and as a wild card personally but it's what it is.

At BM he played kane as a target man and got 60% of what Kompany has out of him. Think he wants that for England too but Kanes form withdrawn isn't letting him

He hasn't been in form but he's proven quality.

Taking players like Jordan Henderson is a fucking joke imo.

TBH I really couldn't give that much of a toss :D I can't be arsed to get into the nuances of who is going on the plane or not, I am judging this manager on whether he can get us over the line or not, that's what he was bought in for, not for his team selections.

I think there could be a method to his madness, it's not as if he hasn't been here before in terms of tournaments, he knows how to navigate teams through them and he'll have a plan in his head with his squad.

So let's see.

I'll say this as well, last tournament under Southgate, Bellinhgam behind Kane, Foden on the left Trent in midfield, Palmer on the bench etc...it was a mess and it has 0 balance, this is what we often lack when we go into tournaments, the manager normally picks the names but doesn't structure the team properly.

Yeah don't disagree too much, just find Henderson a baffling one but anyway we'll see how we do.
