That's too ambitious, notwithstanding than United showed how things can be vastly improved from one season to the next.KPIs for next season.
1. Finish above Woolwich
2. Qualify for the Champions League
3. Win a cup.
I think he likes and rates Danso but maybe not as a first 11 guy long term.
Absolutely box office. No exaggeration thereBrian Fantana Wonderful. I hope he is here for years to come
Loved that press conference at the end. So refreshing to hear him listen to a question and give a deep answer to it. Asked who was important in the dressing room and he didn’t just say “everyone” like a generic wanky answer most would give, he named people and gave an insight into each.
Really refreshing and I imagine it’s this type of personality that builds strong rapport inside and out a club. With that being said, you can definitely see how tempers will likely flare. The dude wears his heart on his sleeve. But give me this over Thomas Frank every single day of the week.
Like the rest of you I am delighted that (A) we avoided relegation, and (B) we now have in RDZ a manager who seems to have the technical skills, personality and passion to make the best of our existing players and hopefully attract some good new talent.
It seems to me that our improved results were as much down to RDZ getting into the players heads (and tapping into their on-field passion) as they were to his wider technical/strategic input. This is no better illustrated than considering the increased percentage of 50/50 balls we won in recent weeks. Our players put their bodies on the line more than previuosly.
It was in our favour that our opposition in the last 7 matches was pretty average. It's hard to recall a constant serious EPL-level attacking threat from any of them. Everton, Villa (without key players) , Chelsea (also without a couple of their usual starters) , Wolves and Leeds were pretty ordinary. Brighton might be the exception.
Anyway, it's now onwards and upwards.
We look forward seeing some version of Spurs (probably mainly the younger players) in New Zealand next July.
Our form with this dodgy squad over last 6 games was 7th. That’s Europa. No chance with this group of players. West ham have a better forward line than us.
Haha this is the slightly mental side of De Zerbi starting to come out. Apparently he used to fall out with specific media outlets in Marseille quite a bit. Clearly he reads everything about us.
Good on him calling out the Times, though. Alyson Rudd's been on a one-woman crusade to shit on Spurs and our fans since we sacked Frank and De Zerbi seems to be annoyed at Tom Allnutt too who was apparently quite negative.
These journos need to be called out more often imo if we ever want to re-shape the narrative around Spurs.
The whole press conference is worth watching, but here is that bit

Of those, you’d expect Richarlison and Dragusin to move on and Davies to join the coaching staff.
Yeah I suspect so, Dragusin will probably want more playing time. Can see why he didn’t rotate much. Usually managers don’t like to single out players so this was quite refreshing. Not sure we should see it as a slight on those he doesn’t though, because of that except maybe Romero. They are the ones who’ve obviously been crucial at important times
