It doesn’t look much to get in, but they have to established players, no more prospects or depth signings.
That is arguably weaker than our current squad!

Practically speaking it can't happen. We have too much to do.

That's before surveying hiw shit the ST market is.

We need to just focus on getting one, much better, player.
Nothing is more pressing than our front line.

De Zerbi needs his first choice ST and wide forward. Richie needs to leave and Solanke can provide cover. The club need to replace Son and Kane.

It will obviously take a number of years and windows to mould a finished squad, but the front line cannot wait. Has to be sorted this Summer.

So what exactly are you disagreeing about?

Literally no-one has said don't buy a ST.

Based off one season and you are speaking that like its a fact. Ask Real Madrid or Barcelona which one they'd like to sign. The answer isn't Senesi.

Funny you say that. Apparently Deco really rates him and Barca want him. Maybe you should think before talking nonsense. :) And Senesi's stats this season have been better than anything Romero has delivered in the PL since he's been here. You can overrate Romero all you want, I don't see any of this fictional bullshit about Real Madrid or Barca wanting Romero. Meanwhile in the real world, Senesi is a better PL CB and is actually wanted by Barca.

For what it is worth, Barcelona’s interest in Senesi is not accidental. The club have been searching for a naturally left-footed central defender for some time, especially after difficulties emerged in pursuing Alessandro Bastoni.

Senesi is now being viewed as a realistic alternative not only because of his profile, but also because signing him would not require a transfer fee.

However, Barcelona are not alone in the race, with Tottenham Hotspur also said to be in discussions with the player after narrowly avoiding relegation at the end of the season.

Even so, Barcelona’s interest could significantly change the direction of negotiations, especially given the attraction of joining one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

I think Solanke only stays if De Zerbi doesn't get 2 strikers. He is not up to it, now physically and never has been, mentality-wise. It's just too much for him.

Alongside Romero and 2 or 3 others under contract, I think he might be sold.

Even with no European football next season, we still need two strikers.

Richy featured in 32 games and Solanke 15.

No top flight club can carry that and be successful and remember we will have no Muani next season (no big miss).

We have quality on the left and right (when every player is fit).

So I think AM, CF x2 and a CB should Romero get sold.

Vuskovic and Moore simply has to be brought back into the squad.

The more I think about it, the more it wouldn’t surprise me if we went quietly cautious about this summer and added Darlow, Senesi, Robertson, Palhinha, then invest the majority of our money in Scott and Parrott.

We can let Vicario, Romero, Dragusin, Davies, Bissouma, Muani and Richy leave.

Would give us a pretty balanced squad for a smaller season with Odobert, Xavi, and Deki to come in as reinforcements whenever they are fit.

Kinsky, Darlow, Austin

Porro, Spence, Vuskovic, Danso, VDV, Senesi, Robertson, Udogie

Palhinha, Gray, Bergvall, Scott, Bentancur, Gallagher

Tel, Kudus, Maddison, Moore

Solanke, Parrott

Because I’d have no issue with all the players listed being sold. I’d have no issue with Solanke going as well. And add Tel to that list too.

We have a number of players that need to leave for their own sake, as much as our own.

And there’s zero issue why we can’t do it. We’re so used to being gaslit about what a football club can and can’t do in a transfer window that we think it’s only possible to tinker at the edges.

This squad needs open heart surgery and it starts this Summer.

Bet he goes to Liverpool to replace Robertson and becomes one of the best LBs in the league

I'd rather see us sign someone like him instead of Robertson on a free tbh.

I know we need leaders etc, but this is a very sudden shift to "oh lets now start paying really high wages and convince any available free agents to come in". We have literally being doing the total opposite the last 20 years where we have been willing to pay big fees but never the wages. Now look like we are doing the total opposite.

I'm not saying one approach is right and the other is wrong. But its very worrying how we've just totally switched from one approach to the complete opposite. Hopefully we see some big money signings further up the pitch to show that its a balanced approach and that there is a strategy here. I've just lost total faith over our board and strategies. We went from Ange to Frank back to De Zerbi in 12 months. Attacking to pragmatism back to attacking. Switching strategies like we haven't a clue what we are doing. So I am concerned that we've gone from only signing young players for a big fee on low wages (Gray, Odobert, Tel, Bergval) to now targetting experienced players on high wages (Palhinha, RKM, Robertson, Senesi). I'd love to see a balanced approach where we just target the best players who will cost a fee and high wages (Wharton, Ndiaye) but we'll have to wait and see on that.

Also bit worrying that we were trying so hard in January to sign Robertson under Frank. Can only assume this is a club signing now. Has De Zerbi requested him or is the club saying "Here you go. He's your new left back".

I think De Zerbi will want something more radical, despite him saying he was happy with part of the squad.

If rumours are to believed Senesi and Robertson appear close.

I think we will see 7 to 9 players, possibly including Moore and Vuskovic, and maybe more.

Marmoush would be the dream signing this window, but can’t see it in our current guise.

He’d easily be De Zerbi’s Spurs version of Mitoma and Greenwood.

Not a chance.

That would get us relegated.

Looking at them individually is missing the point.

There is.

We're not doing 10-15 in / 10-15 out.

That's not "gaslighting".

So you enjoyed fighting relegation? That’s what we’d have again with this approach.
