Player Pedro Porro

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He was €40 million and TBH he was signed as a wing back, this club have a funny knack of signing players and them playing them out of position.
This

If RDZ suddenly decides to play with wingbacks then by all means keep him. As it stands, he's an asset we would sell for a decent fee still who's stock abroad is still high, and we can use those funds on any part of our shockingly bad front 3

we paid a loan fee on top of that.

As far as I was aware, we've still been playing wingbacks ever since - at least in the form of "expect to find them where a RW would be"

Yeah €5 loan fee....€45M is £38m

We haven't played wing backs since Conte left, funnily enough he's played in a back 4 since and has struggled defensively, the biggest surprise is that people are actually surprised that he is weak at 1on1 defending and shutting players down.

He's also been incredibly shocking in attack too. seems like 1 in 10 shots become satellites

Nah keep him IMO, he has a core skillset which is entirely coachable and something he possesses which is rare for a full back which is progressive passing.

Reckon De Zerbi would love to work with him.

In a Walker/Tripper situ when we were peaking under Poch I could see a way forward, but he's so hit and miss... Often within the span of an individual game.

Yeah...

We can't start getting rid of the very few technical players in the squad like Porro and start signing the likes of Robertson and making Palhinha permanent.

He's suspect defensively yes but that's the kind of upgrade we aim for way down the line. The guy has been good in the role De Zerbi has him in.

So upgrade down the line? How does that make us better? If we don’t upgrade we stand still and I can’t deal with another shit show like we’ve just been through. In saying that we need to bin 95% of them and that won’t happen.

Because currently we have a squad that finished 17th for 2 seasons in a row. The biggest part of that is because we've had shit recruitment for around 8+ years that neglected technical quality.

Porro is one of the few players who has technical quality. He's not a relegation level player, he's a top 8 at least level player. We have so much buying and selling to do this Summer he should be nowhere near the list of players out over some of the dross we've got in midfield and attack.

I’m not disagreeing and it’s such a sad state of affairs that pretty much every position needs upgraded. There’s no doubting Porro has quality but his inconsistent play from minute to minute is ridiculous never mind game to game. It’s his fakeness that wrecks my head. Laying around every game kidding on he’s injured is embarrassing. I can’t deal with it. He done it yesterday and I wanted to kill him. Is he that fucking dumb that he doesn’t realise play is going on and we were in a relegation battle. Just get up ya wee dick.

Where do you think this team/squad would finish with a full season of RDZ as our manager, and no midweek football?

Kinsky
Porro -- Romero -- VdV -- Udogie
Bentancur
Gallagher -- Maddison
Kudus --------Solanke ------ Xavi

Subs from: Vicario, Austin, Davies, Dragusin, Vuskovic, Spence, Danso, Palhinha, Bissouma, Gray, Sarr, Kulusevski, Bergvall, Moore, Odobert, Lankshear, Tel, Richarlison, Muani.

Answer = Top 8. Easily. (Sell / Loan Out)

We came 17th mainly due to a combination of massive injuries and shit managers. That's not a reason to not bring in 6 or 7 better players and finish as high as possible (and that is the minimum we should expect from ENIC), but we're not starting as low as some of you make out! The rot started under Ange and continued with Frank, then Tudor. The team became bereft of confidence, disconnected from the fan base, and losing became a bad habit. A death spiral. RDZ has reversed most of that in just over a month, and now needs to be backed to change the culture and improve the quality and competition.

Porro is a sell for me this summer. He's just not consistent enough a defender, and his offensive game is reckless in open play, and consistently disappointing in set pieces. I'd like to see Spence get a long run in the RB position. Porro represents too much contract/wage value to let sit on the bench, and ought to be turned over if possible. I'd be more than happy with a Tanganga type to be backup RB during this time.

Diouf from a distressed West Ham for peace nuts as cover.

I want Porro shitcanned.

Celebrating getting fouled yesterday, when the ref awarded him a free kick for one of his theatrical incidents has not changed my mind.

Bloke is a peenarse.

Between Porro and you, there's only one peenarse and it's not Pedro. If several of our 1st team squad had a small percentage of his commitment and effort we wouldn't have been facing relegation yesterday. He also put a couple of damn good free kicks into the box for a change.

He's shite.

He's a coward.

He can't defend.

He's a weakness which can no longer be tolerated.
