None of them have the money to do what the likes of Sunderland and Forest did and none of their coaches has the experience of Farke at coming up and trying to stay there.

I agree with the thoughts on newly promoted 3 teams.
Aside from that I think you can throw a blanket over the next 10 teams in the pl next season and a few of them are now in Europe which will hamper them.
What is was saying was that I strongly believe we will leapfrog all those at that straight away has us up around 7th. Nobody knows how the other so called 'big' clubs will fare next season. A few have new managers which are far from certain to be successful and so I think we can get amoungst it with 1 game per week.
RDZ had got maximum out of this squad in the 7 games, i don't doubt that, but let's not pretend it was great, we beat Wolves, Villa who were happy to chuck the game and Everton who were already on holiday. The squad is poor and needs major upgrades, especially in attack.
The leagues not great, with 5 quality additions we can fly up, but it needs to be at least 5 quality additions, if we go into next season with the shit we've had up front the last few months we got no chance. Pinning hopes on players like Tel is going to get us nowhere.
Postecoglou is a major reason why we are shit, and he was here at least a year too long, but we do have a quality issue at spurs, a lot of this squad are crap and needs to be upgraded. People singing Bentancur's praises again, this guy wouldn't get anywhere near anyone in the top 5s midfields, so if we want to be getting in that mix we need better it's as simple as that, and Bentancur is one of our so called 'better' players! VDV on his day is class, Maddison on his day is class, Kulu on his day (not been for a while now tho) is class. Other than that its either average or poor players.
At the bare minimum need a whole new attack, a deep lying playmaker and a LB. That's the bare minimum of what we need.

We were in absolute dire straits. The prospect of De Zerbi coming in wasnt even a possibility at the time. Think it took everyone by surprise a bit.

United went out and got 3 marquee signings for attack! that's what we need to do. They already had Bruno who is borderline world class.
They also sorted their keeper out and now have one who actually looks decent and won't cost them points week in week out.

People (myself included) looked down on him after years of Redknapp and an exciting manager in AVB, but he's an important figure in that period of Tottenham for the work he did behind the seasons (especially with the young players, loans, championing them over that period), and he was absolutely, unequivocally, deserving of a lot more respect that his prattish personality requested.
It's not belittling anything, its being a realist. This squad is shit, its finished 17th two seasons on the bounce, that's not a blip. RDZ might be a very good manager but he's not a miracle worker, you can only do so much with shit footballers. Even if Kulu comes back on top form, the front 3 is still well below par, we don't have one forward at the club that anyone in the top 5 would take! thats a big problem.
Last season you can put down to having the worst 'manager' ever. This season, granted we've been without our two best players for the entire season, that still doesn't justify finishing 17th and being in a relegation scrap till the final whistle, that's a serious quality issue in the squad.
At the very least it needs 5 new first 11 players bought this summer.

The only saving grace of this board is the fact that they brought in De Zerbi just in the nick of time. If they had waited just a day longer, it might have been too late. By the skin of our teeth literally SMH.
Hope they just let him get on with it.
