ENIC In or ENIC Out

For as long as ENIC are still in charge they need to feel the proverbial knife at their throat from the fans.
Exactly this. And let's be straight, too many of our fans for far too many years gave them an easy ride in the past.

Hell, man, you couldn't utter a word of criticism against Levy or ENIC on this very forum without a pile in from the masses determined to defend them with their lives.

I remember some years ago starting the first Levy in / out poll. I think it was around 85% in and judging by some of the comments you'd have been mistaken for thinking I was some kind of monster who was about to eat their kids.

It's hard to believe that we actually had a Daniel Levy appreciation thread. Even though we'd just gone over a full decade without lifting a single piece of silverware lol. I mean, what other fan base of a major football club even does that 😆

But back to your point. However successful or unsuccessful the team is, the owners of any football club should ALWAYS feel the pressure of from the fanbase to improve. To get better. To prioritise the football club that lines their pockets.

Never, ever again should the ownership or the chairman be fawned upon in such a disgusting manner as we've witnessed at Tottenham Hotspur.

Then never again will such a wealthy, massive, hugely supported football club plummet to the depths we've suffered these past few years.

Hopefully, lessons have been learned by the ownership, but just as importantly, lessons have Hopefully been learned by the supporters

Yeah zero chance Charrington himself wrote the thing.

The content is quite different to a typical Levy letter though. I don't recall him ever so explicitly outlining the intentions for the club - the more specific you are the more the fans can hold you to when you fail. Levy was always more vague iirc.

And while it may well be lip service, I'm not sure how any fans can actually disagree with the goals outlined in the statement. They're pretty much exactly what every fan is always asking for: investment in the squad and success on the pitch.

Obviously it means nothing without action, and the fact they're holding onto Lange (so far) after one of the most abject DoF jobs in world football is concerning. But I dunno why anyone is explicitly angry with or disagrees with the statement itself. Beyond the transparent PR-ness of it all (which was always gonna be the case) it aligns with 99% of what fans are asking for.

Of course it does. Thats what a PR firm does...

Im.not angey or anything about the statement. Its just worthless PR driven by fam sentiment

Levy was Levy and we all know what he was like
loathe the guy but no way would he have got in an untried idiot like Tudor.

Apparently did running drills in training during Champs league weeks!

I imagine he'd have spent a bit in the Jan window too. The last time we really saw him spend was Redknapp's first part season when we didn't get clear of relegation after the LC final so well after Jan window.

Maybe it's the case, that what they say is true.

And it might time shed the negative shit that cunt Levy drove into the fan base for year, with his constant lies, sin, and bullshit.

And Joe Lewis, who ignored what Levy did coz money go up, has no say in the club anymore either.

And it's probably the case that Levy kids are Spurs fans as rumoured, and are in no way happy with what is going on.

Levy just made everyone so cynical and bitter, the guy needs the shame treatment from Game of Thrones. Fucking evil cunt he was.

Who knows, only time will tell.

According to every manager we'd had who has spoken about it, he was energetic in windows and enjoyed the process of signing players. Redknapp and Sherwood both spoken strongly about this.
What we saw in the AoN doc was that Hitchen and the rest of the board were both more obstructive, talking about "value" in the window and "difficulty". I think the idea that he wouldn't have done better in the January window would be hugely misplaced and it distracts from the criticism that should be levelled at the current leadership, so I agree with you.

I also would revisit the concept that there is no "ENIC" involved now, in terms of past definition vs recent. Any previous grace towards "ENIC" would have been done based on the limitations it had from Joe Lewis (being an company with no real 'wealth', suffocated by tavistock, run by Levy). In the last 8-10 months, it's now a direct line of control to "The Lewis Family", so any conflation of "ENIC" and previous attitudes is disingenuous and is further deflecting away from the fact that it's now, at the very least "Tavistock" or "The Lewis Family" who should be referenced in any criticism/scorn

seems pretty obvious nothing is changing. i think the sentiment is like it was post ange and everyone at the top thinks we got unlucky with injuries and had the wrong coach and everything else is fine so why change what we're doing. we will be lower half again and likely around 17th again if we continue on this path. biggest bunch of arrogant clowns i've ever seen.
