I have little time for West Ham and have no sympathy for them going down but excluding the vermin that every fanbase has, their fans are streets ahead of Woolwich's supporters.

I know they hate us more than we hate them but when you just look at how juvenile, pathetic and cringe Woolwich are in almost everything they do I can acknowledge that West Ham fans in general (in my experience) are at least proper football fans.

That said, I'm delighted we no longer have the handicap of them playing their best football against us twice a year.

Yeah - I think at heart most fan-bases are pretty similar but it's obvious some of the biggest clubs attract more glory hunting, reactionary set of fans.

Woolwich's period of success led to them getting a lot of those London-based fans in the late nineties, through to about 2010, and they've grown into a a lot of the influencers and twats on AFTV we see today.

West Ham and, to a lesser extent, us never attracted those types of fans cos we frankly we don't win enough. No-one under the age of about 40-45 would've ever become a Spurs or West Ham fan expecting constant success and trophies like some of these spoilt dickhead Woolwich fans do.

Actually...any age for West Ham fans. :langetroll:

True to an extent but I just don't see the same pathetic crap from any other big six team than you get with Woolwich at least to the same level. This season I think other fanbases are being exposed to it more. Palace fans were fuming with them at the weekend.

As many have said before and will continue to do so, we deserve better rivals.

Yeah fair - Arse fans are uniquely cringeworthy and embarrassing for some reason.

United have shitloads of glory fans but they're not as outright pathetic.

The thing that gets me the most about the Gooner fans is that they have this constant "aren't we hard done by" attitude when most fans who don't support them can see the amount of shit they get away with.

Citeh & Dipper fans have this same issue.

They are also incredibly thick and ignorant. Celebrating the achievement of a season without conceding a penalty or getting a red card without even wrapping their heads round why that might be the case.

And it's not because they were angels.

Nah, the spammers were trying to emulate the cringe arse fan base over the last few years. Stupid fan channels and trying to force the stupid crossed arm X into being "a thing". The AI bubble bus clip in America for their preseason tour, Jesus that was embarrassing.

I must be going soft in my old age but I can't really be arsed to laugh at them. Yes, we came away from Sunday with our PL status in tact but seriously, what have we got to laugh about.
- We finished 17th... again
- Watched our bitterest rivals win the PL and have a chance to win ECL
- We have patchwork squad of players who don't really fit any system and are often unavailable
- Our owners are charlatans who have leveraged our brand and loyalty to build an entertainment complex at the expense of a the men's first team
- They hired a gooner, promoted him to the top job within weeks and after a shambolic season he has overseen, the owners decided to support him - you couldn't make it up.
- It took a media shit storm for a club captain to do the right thing and come back for the final game - it's clear he is leaving
- There is probably a shit load of other stuff too

The only positive is De Zerbi and let's face it, he will likely leave before the end of next season when Vinai and Lange roll out the "we tried" line for the umpteenth time.

Overall, we have nothing to laugh about and for all those who think this summer will be any different from previous summers then I can't help you... I've seen this film 26 times and the ending never changes.

I think fan channels are a bad thing in general, but if you are going to do it I think West Ham Fan TV do it best.
