Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

To be fair I think with players like Bergvall and Kinsky we have found players of a similar profile. It’s hard to know how much of our shit transfer business is down to the scouts and how much to the people who sign the cheques.

We know that Levy was recommended Kvara and turned him down before he went to Napoli, for example. Then there are signings like Tel that have Levy’s stink all over them, where he has been conned by an agent or a selling club. Nobody with any football knowledge would watch Tel and think we needed to spend £40m on him.

I think our problems are less in identifying talent and more the absence of football expertise at board level. Why did we buy Dragusin who is slower than a gravestone and can’t pass the ball? For a manager who plays out with a high line? Why did we give a manager like Nuno a feeble little mouse like Bryan Gil? We have to hope that RDZ is listened to and decisions are made based on a football strategy and not opportunistic spreadsheet fiddling.
The Dargusin signing was what alerted me to just how much shit Postecoglou was full of. He chased out Dier without a moments pause for a worse version of the same fucking player fighting off Bayern with his silver tongue to do so. It made zero sense. It is obvious the actual football accumen at this club is in the gutter. Oh and sorry Eric you are way way better with the ball than Radu Dragusin ever will be.

Bergvall may turn out great, but hes been so massively overrated on here because he can dribble a bit and gets stuck in. Never massively been a fan, I think he needs a loan if anything the kid needs to play but hes not ready to start for us if we have ambitions of Europe again.

Bergvall I think will be available for loan. He needs to play and with Maddison back and Gallagher here, he isn’t going to play much. It’s easy to forget how young he is, there is nothing wrong with a loan move at his age. It’s only because of the injuries in the first season that he played so much, he is not really ready to be a regular starter at a top half PL team yet. Same with Gray.

Seems very strange to go for him now, given the season hes just had. City will have tanked his value so it would be cut price I guess. Clearly has a lot of talent though so maybe de zerbi can unlock him. Its going to be very tough to sign top attackers off the back of two very bad campaigns.

On COYS the itk have said senesi and robertson basically done and that we are prioritising 3 positions to sign players in and are already talking to 1st choise and second choice in each of those positions and their clubs. So seems we wanna get business done early.

I find it interesting how many people wanna sell bentacur, after how good hes been since hes been back and how clearly he suits de zerbis system. Hes one of the las midfielders i'd be selling from the club.

Posters on here are saying Savinho has talent. Based on what exactly? That he is Brazilian, has beaten a couple of players, his haircut, what?

I think it's hot air and that the club might be discussing various things, including player profile, as in right quality and character that the team needs.

There is absolutely zero that says to me that Savinho elevates us, and nothing he did in the 10 months since we showed interest to warrant further exploration.

We need to identify (and buy), strikers before we look at wide men.

I agree mate, kid needs to play and I hope he turns out great. Hes just not ready right now. I do think gray is ahead of him currently. Wouldnt be surprised to see him loaned to bournemouth as part of the scott deal.

One of the 2 go in my opinion. Maybe permanently but also possibly on loan..

At 18/19 he looked a talent, was playing well in Spain (I believe)

But he is 22 now and has done basically nothing for 2 seasons (more?)

There is a phenomenon where young talented players hold that mantle well beyond the period in which its actually valid

Savinho could be one of them

We see it often, players careers effectively stall at a big club and never get going again like they were expected to

There are of course also those players that are written off after a stale period at a big club, move on, and look the absolute nuts

I dont know Savinho well enough to say which I think he is for sure, but Im leaning more the former than latter...

He should replace Richarlison as the backup but we will need a better starting 9 for next season.

We start with a pretty weak forward line of Kudus, Solanke, Richarlison, Kolo Muani plus youngsters Tel and Odobert.

Nobody I can think of has brought in 3 top or even good forwards (each costing £50m- £100m) in one window. Pay much less and you buy a Richarlison look alike - if you are lucky. There really aren't many quality forwards available, hence the price tag.

So upgrading/replacing the 2 weakest forwards in Kolo Muani and Richarlison is as good as its going to get - and that gives us 4 experienced forwards . My guess is that we need to bring in Lankshear as Solanke's deputy and develop him.

And that's my point. I don't know either, and it's possible Savinho re-emerges but it must be based on something more than a hunch, and we have greater areas of need - by far.

I think we are talking to them about.....Trafford . An English keeper for squad balance makes too much sense.

Similar profile…spot on….Bergvall is an excellent goalkeeper.

Apparently, according to Corriere Fiorantino we are ‘in pole position’ for Fiorentina midfielder Nicolo Fagioli. I know nothing of him and have seen no other reports about this. The article states AC Milan also want him.
