Folks on here might want to discount a talented 22-year-old who has suffered under playing for a manager who notoriously plays formation roulette, but I think he is a talent and better, bar Kudus, than any winger at the club by some distance.

I get it. And the basic profile for our needs makes sense. My football scouting leaves a lot to be desired and I'm mindful of that, the trouble is so does Lange's and this is very obviously a player he's enamored with.

He has a habit of thinking that the market is wrong for cooling on a player, and he has a habit of being wrong about that.

The point is, there is class to be found out there, and you measure a recruitment operation by their ability to find it.

Fair enough.

I don't see it, and I don't rate Kudus particularly highly. Next to no vision at all, and lacks calmness.

He's also barely played in the past two years, and when he has, it's been out of position in Pep's system. I'd much rather have Godts on the left, but Savio isn't a bad transfer if the price is right.
 
I just want to see us sign some players who are not past their prime, bargain bucket signings to be first choice players, and to sign some squad players so that we aren't immediately thrown into crisis when the first choice player goes down. These should be basics and not too much to ask.

This is just the sort of signing we have made under Daniel Levy, someone who is a punt on the cheap who might deliver more value than we have paid for. That is how we ended up with Richy, Solanke, Tel, and all else for attacking options rather than paying what it costs for the genuine article.
