Apparently we want Rashford.
Barca must be incredibly skint if they can't pick up their 30M EUR option for him.

It's worth a discussion if he hits the market. I'm just very suspicious he'd give a shit in a Spurs shirt, but I admit he did better at Barca than I expected.

for me, it's less about worrying about keeping anyone and seeing that it's sensible for us to accept offers for players that haven't exactly moved us on. Very dependable, good player, but not really critical to our future.

I was the same about Kyle Walker. I don't see us having done any better by keeping him. What he became was due to playing under Guardiola, and he wouldn't have (imo) improved the way he did
And the most important thing is: times have changed. Getting good sale prices for regular parts of your team is just part of squad management now for even the absolute best and richest clubs. "Selling club" is a dead concept.

The shackles are coming off this summer, we're gonna make waves!

So a new keeper - Trafford, Centre Midfielder - Baleba (would cost a lot less than the £100m Brighton were after last season) Saviniho (see above Baleba statement) Ivan Toney (maybe on loan 50/50 wages) Vusvovic as a starter. Out - Vicario, Romero, Richy (sorry, too up and down) Solanke, Dragusin and Sarr, those should raise £200m plus. We will be alright next season - COYS. First team XI - Trafford - Porro - VDV-Vusvovic-Udogie - Gray-Baleba-Maddison-Saviniho-Toney-Kudas

If we drop the hammer, it'll be on our own foot. 🤣

Well, they're after a player who's going to cost more than twice as much, who plays in the same position. So I think it's about them not valuing him as a long-term fit for them.

Except football matches most weeks.

I’m with carpediem991 carpediem991 and TeamSpirit™ TeamSpirit™ on this one. “Winners” are a myth. Our team last two years had league and WC winners in it, but we were atrocious, because those “winners” weren’t great footballers.

2nd/3rd in the PL during Poch, was not a trophy, but was the best actual achievement of this club in several decades, and it was down to having a core of quality players and some quality coaching.

not the kind of winners im talking about -

we wont plenty of football matches but fell short, every single time at important moments.

fine, we arent at a stage right now where we should be thinking about winning more than simply games, but experience at winning can make a difference at that last stage - in a game of inches...
