Should have picked Diego Luna IMHO.

It’s the equivalent of deciding to hold the World Ice Hockey Championship in the emerging market of ……..… India ; I suspect most Americans will be less than massively invested in who’s made the squad .

But that’s probably just me being a bit cynical .
When they stage a friendly the seats are sold, and when World Cup comes round the country pays attention every four years. It’s the domestic league being no good and there not being academy systems that are the problem.

The sheer population ought to give the ability to easily cultivate 20 or 30 world class footballers yet they have none.

All of this said, that's absolutely the most talented and accomplished in club football team the US has ever sent to a World Cup.

If they only had half the grit of their predecessors they could be a serious threat.

If England don’t win the wc who do you want to win it? I’d love Brazil to play like they used to and win if we don’t do it.

All you guys giving Romero shit because he thinks more of his country than his club……

Going to be cheering loud and proud for Saka and Rice this summer?

I’m English so who else am I going to be cheering for. Much rather they were Spurs players and Spurs have produced more England players than any other club but it is what it is.

As for Romero, him Lo Celso and the like I am happy they love Argentina but it would be nice if they did make it so obvious putting country before club. We do need them. Lamela being an example of someone who gave everything for us as well as his country.

Will never get how you can switch straight from despising gooners to cheering the fucking tossbags. Not a pop at you directly, just anyone. Country before club 100%.
