Toney and Solanke probably wouldn’t be the worst Striker rotation for De Zerbi tbh
With him having two years remaining on a 400kpw contract with an ambitious club for whom he's the best player and talisman, there's probably like a 60% chance that Toney is totally unrealistic, but it's worth a phone call.

But I also want to continue to beat the drum for Troy Parrott, not least of which because with our reported 20% sell on clause, AZ would be very eager to sell to us over other bidders.

The striker market is such that we really need to be smart about this. We could wind up Hojlund-ing ourselves very easily.

I know you have seen him a few times so what's your take on Hackney? I kept meaning to watch him but only caught a few minutes. Can't say I was too impressed.
Right sort of profile considering how poor we've been at creating but also progressing the ball through midfield. He'd be a good signing, could see him and Madders having good chemistry if he can stay fit.

Yes I know, and I don't think they'd want to sell those other investments to raise money for expensive footballers. I think Levy's plan was to get some minority investors to buy shares in the club, which raises capital. What the Lewis's plans are IDK, they keep stating the club isn't for sale.

I got these figures from the club's official website;

• Total Revenue for the year increased by 7% to £565.3m (2024: £528.2m)
• Operating expenses (before player trading) increased by 15% to £521.5m (2024: £453.6m),

So there's not much left for players such as the list compiled by Richard Arlison Richard Arlison

Then they need to sell to someone who can compete

What are they doing playing with the big fish if they can’t swim?

Agree. There’s loads of overpriced bang average teases that we could sign.

That list has Guirassy. I’m still a big fan. Him and Solanke might buy us a year or 2 to ID a legit world class CF

Given the level of strikers and the fact that the 2 better ones, Oshimen and Toney are complete arseholes on absurd money i totally agree on Parrott. Club trained, improving all the time, decent technically, 31 goals and 12 assists last season and yes its the Eredivisie but also started scoring regulaly at international level against some pretty good teams. Would come cheap and may allow dosh for the likes of Gibbs-White and Akliouche. If he didnt work out after 18 months/2 years could easily shift him to the continent.

£10m - at that money a no brainer punt?

Or unneeded squad bloat?

Unless Hackney is in the last year of his contract, it won't be 10 million pounds. Not a chance.

Hackney looks like a player, and in the Championship, he looks a lot better than Gray or Bergvall do in the PL.

The obvious question is would that translate, and what level can he reach?

Much depends on who our targets are and the likelihood of capturing their signatures.

Amongst the PL-ready players we must buy, I hope there is still a bit of space/money for a punt or 2.

Not that impressed from that reel. Looks like some scuffed and a bit raw. Anyone hold a different view.

| INFO : MORGAN GIBBS-WHITE 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Tottenham Hotspur are still following Morgan Gibbs-White as a concrete target for the summer, CONFIRMED! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🚨⚪️#THFC

The club are impressed by MGW's performances during the second half of the season, and want to try again for his signature, after his failed move last summer. 💣💥

Nottingham Forest are open to selling Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, but want a package worth around £70m for a potential sale. Nothing less at the moment. 🚨💰

Morgan Gibbs-White would love to join Tottenham Hotspur, just like last summer. Personal terms are NOT an issue, agreement with Nottingham Forest will be the MAIN step! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🤝🏻⚪

No talks or negotiations ongoing right now between any parties. Just concrete interest as of now. Spurs working on Savinho and potential Nico deal, after completing Senesi and Robertson. 🚨👀

Nothing burger, really, although after last year it is interesting MGW is coming up again
