I see that people are still biting with this twitter ITK bollocks. The only thing they know is how to farm engagement.

With all the leaks that happened at the club a couple years ago it stands to reason that they're going to be far, far stricter with who is told what. Anyone called "mrspurzyleaks69420" on twitter is an attention-starved teenager sat in his bedroom surrounded by crusty socks claiming to be ITK and we've got 50 year old men getting excited over the shit he says.

I won't hear a bad word said about mrspurzyleaks69420! I heard his Nan cuts Romero's dogs hair.

As someone fairly new to this site. Are there any people here who come under the term, "ITK?" people who get good, reliable inside knowledge?..(just interested,if there is someone i need to look out for, post wise). Or is ITK just guesswork/personal opinions?..

The papers used to pay people in the clubs for info so they would be first to break a story. However; times have changed and engagement is where you generate income - and there is no longer any incentive to hold a story until it is confirmed fact.

As such, it's far easier now (and more lucrative) to report on rumors and speculation.

Clubs and Agents feed info to the press to suit their agenda (i.e. if they want to unsettle a player); and often friends/family of players run their mouth.

Usually, if it's printed in one of the big-name rags (telegraph, BBC) there is some truth to it - i.e. its backed by a reputable source.

Can anyone explain to me why we are so keen on MGW?

His best position is a 10. Same as Maddison, Simons and Kuluselvski. I get that them 3 have serious injury issues but it doesn't add up to me that our priority signing is another number 10.

I wouldn't say no at all. I'd be delighted if we sign him. Even if we use him in another role (Could play deeper instead of Gallagher), he'd still walk into our team.

I just find it strange that he's such a priority signing. We have good players in that position already. A ball playing defensive midfielder would seem a much bigger priority to me. The MGW money could get us Baleba/Wharton/Scott/Fernandes. If we sign MGW and one of them then great. I've nothing against MGW and I'd welcome the signing. It just isn't top of our priority list so surprised he's the talk of the town again.
Kulusevski is done mate (unfortunately), Xavi is injured until January at least, and Maddison is always 2 steps away from injury. That just leaves Gallagher (and Bergvall to some extent) as a 10, who don’t have the same sort of vision or output as the previous 3 because their style is different. I think we have bigger holes in the squad to fill, but a #10 is worth considering as well.

No one is ITK these days, he’ll half the journos don’t even have a clue. EG I’ve read reports saying Paulinho is going to Sporting and contradictory reports saying we are going to secure him. EG2 many reports that we are looking at bidding for (what the) Vanheke and loaning out Vusko, which are contradicted by reports saying RDZ wants to assimilate Luka into the first team. (Mind you with this one it’s not an either or. It could be both)

My point is no one has a clue.
