As someone fairly new to this site. Are there any people here who come under the term, "ITK?" people who get good, reliable inside knowledge?..(just interested,if there is someone i need to look out for, post wise). Or is ITK just guesswork/personal opinions?..
Take it you aren’t familiar with ol’ Herc&Trix over on SpursCommunity are ya? Just listen to them mate, they’ve got the finger on the pulse. May as well be in the boardroom themselves. But make sure to donate at least £70,000 a window if you want them to keep posting their wisdom!!

There are probably no Spurs ITK's left - last one probably JJSet who last operated about 10 years ago or maybe 'The Lion' for about one window forecasting Ndombele and co in 2019.

But everyone on Twitter calls themselves ITK ever since

There were a few but they've mostly lost their sources now that Levy et al have all moved on. If you think about it, back in the day there were people like Redknapp, Sherwood who loved to talk. Loads of backroom staff, and people on the board, but they have all moved on and been replaced.

Back in the day there were loads of leaks. Now there's hardly any.

That one team news guy on Twitter now though seems reliable. It seems to be him and nobody else.

Lange's ears have just perked up
He is though people who keep saying Vlahovic must have just stopped watching football three years ago. He is dreadful. The striker market is poor on a proven level and has been for last few years its hardly a secret. After the Sesko Zirkzee era flopped you have to go down an age group. There have been articles in 442 and other sites for ages with this take.

Jackson does have fantastic movement but is prone to alot of stupidness but he does cause trouble.
Nunez is a workhorse and has exceptional desire and is pretty good all round. Im not too sure what his finishing is like these days.

Id take either along with keeping solanke who I think Roberto will like and maybe keep lankshear too.
We've got RKM, Tel and Richie for that and they won't cost anything more.

If the striker/CF market is really so dire, I'd rather we spent on a CAM and wingers who can finish.

EDIT: sorry, *had* RKM

Mine is debate, not to know for certain.

Um...okay but when you start of your "debate" with this:

God, no.

Solanke is absolutely not an answer to any question we have that relates to reliable number one striker.

I think it behooves you to go into a little more depth to justify your stand. Which you have done... eventually.

I think we have seen after 2 seasons that Solanke is unlikely (not definitely) to be the answer. Lankshear - we will see if he shows enough in pre-season to maybe convince De Zerbi.

I think we need a mobile striker, so that would be someone like Nunez or type, and I think we need a poacher, which one might argue Richarlison is, but one who can offer a bit more on top.

I'm not saying it's easy to get the right striker (s), let alone to identify those who might be suitable, and there would be no point in selling Solanke without being pretty confident in any new signing, but we have to try and find strikers who the opposition fear, and who can justify that sense of trepidation.

I don't necessarily disagree with any of this but the context of my initial reply to Shotgun was agreeing that the striker market is very difficult. The only "guaranteed goals" I can identify is Osimhen and that comes with a massive price tag.

I don't dislike the idea of Nunez as I think he was better for Liverpool than most think but he's no guarantee of goals and also comes with a hefty pricetag.

Given that we have massive holes in our squad in a passing, press resistant 6 and LWF - I still think those are the two area where our money is best spent. Solanke is decent at hold up play - and Lankshear could be anything (including a massive flop).

Unless we can prize Etikite out of Liverpool I stand by my temptation just to shelve the big money Striker idea for now and concentrate on fixing the bigger problems for the time being.

But yes, we need goals. So you're right to have concerns.
