Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We obviously don’t think Vuskovic is ready then.

We must be pretty certain that Romero is off as well, I got the impression at the time, despite what he said in the media, that De Zerbi wasn’t impressed with Romero’s little stunt, going off to Argentina, fully intending not to bother coming back for our last game.

He’ll have seen some of his antics over his time here and thought “fuck that”. He’s the sort of player that costs managers their jobs, causing dissent amongst the ranks when he’s not happy. I’m certainly no Frank lover, but he was seriously undermined by Romero. He made him look extremely weak with some of the stuff he pulled. He backed Frank into a corner and he didn’t know how to deal with him or discipline him, I think that really fucked him in the eyes of the rest of the squad, they knew they could just take the piss and get away with it.

RDZ’s a stronger character than Frank, but Romero will clearly still try his luck with him. It’s better we move him on now.

Looks like De Zerbi (or Lange) is prioritising ball playing CBs massively this summer.. Senesi and Van Hecke for me were two of the best CBs outside of the Top 5 last season so we should be pretty pleased if we get those two over the line.

Still not sold on Savinho mind, would definitely like us to add a prolific ST or RW alongside him if he does come in...

I don’t have issues buying for the defence. Senesi, Van Hecker, Robertson are good players. The issue is in the past we have always been limited with what we can buy and therefore have to prioritise.

It’s far more vital IMO to get a top draw midfielders like Scott and Gibbs White, a good winger like Savinho and a good striker. That is probably £200m on its own on top of this purchase.

Otherwise we are going to be crazy loopsided next season with a RollsRoyce backline and Skoda (pre-Volkswagen) front line.

A positive has to be getting in Romero’s replacement before we sell him. Levy would do it the other way round.

Get Vuskovic a PL loan as the next stage in his development. Maybe Coventry or Ipswich. They both play football.

I’m certainly think our defence will change
But we need goals in our team squad
We need some power and strength and robustness
It seems to be where the premium league is at the most
We seem far to lightweight in certain areas of the pitch
I’ve met my feelings clear, that I don’t want savinho
We need players who won’t give bullied on the pitch

The papers used to pay people in the clubs for info so they would be first to break a story. However; times have changed and engagement is where you generate income - and there is no longer any incentive to hold a story until it is confirmed fact.

As such, it's far easier now (and more lucrative) to report on rumors and speculation.

Clubs and Agents feed info to the press to suit their agenda (i.e. if they want to unsettle a player); and often friends/family of players run their mouth.

Usually, if it's printed in one of the big-name rags (telegraph, BBC) there is some truth to it - i.e. its backed by a reputable source.

Source : My mate is a sports reporter at the rags.

Thats the thing, isnt it? Even it ifs in the paper - it could still be bollocks, just an agent planting transfer talk to try and get his player a better deal or something...

Or offer the money for Anderson and see what happens

Anderson would do far more for us that MGW, what a buy THAT would be

But not necessarily permanent

I think scoring goals is a knack that you either have or dont. Like has been said Jackson has good qualities but as a centre forward he needs to put the ball in the net on a regular basis. Especially for a team like ours where we dont have any attackers that are clinical in front of goal.

He is a bit like Brennan Johnson in the sense that you literally have to put the ball on a plate for him to score a goal

What is the point in talking about Anderson. He's blatantly going to Man City - why on earth would he choose us over them.
