Can anyone explain to me why we are so keen on MGW?

His best position is a 10. Same as Maddison, Simons and Kuluselvski. I get that them 3 have serious injury issues but it doesn't add up to me that our priority signing is another number 10.

I wouldn't say no at all. I'd be delighted if we sign him. Even if we use him in another role (Could play deeper instead of Gallagher), he'd still walk into our team.

I just find it strange that he's such a priority signing. We have good players in that position already. A ball playing defensive midfielder would seem a much bigger priority to me. The MGW money could get us Baleba/Wharton/Scott/Fernandes. If we sign MGW and one of them then great. I've nothing against MGW and I'd welcome the signing. It just isn't top of our priority list so surprised he's the talk of the town again.
Most likely just media twitter bs

But maybe someone at spurs took it personal what happened last summer and wants revenge

And / Or they see him as such an important player that he is worth the hassle ...

As you say we can't really count on any of our no10 options for next season bar gallagher.
It would almost be a miracle should Maddison play the whole season injury free

He's twice as good as either Jonathan David or Dusan Vlahovic. Id rather take Troy Parrot back. If these are the choices get Ramos from PSG. This sucks we need way better than what we are linked with at Centerforward.

Everyone has known for well over a year when the Zirkzee Sesko's failed that the next generation down are where the next great forwards will come from. At this rate Lankshear is a very good hole card to have. I think we'd be better off with a homesick Dhuran or Nunez or Toney than the tripe being punted.

Agree. I'd be tempted to go with Solanke and Lankshear and spend big on a 6 and an elite LWF.

He's the cherry on top of the icing, not a priority for me but he's a game changing signing.

😂

I originally fell into it, my Dad saying you’ll always have a job.

So it was his fault, as if saddling me with Spurs wasn’t enough! 🙄

It paid very well, but my god it was boring. My colleague called me ‘the anti-accountant’ because of my love of fast cars and heavy rock! 😂

I’m currently 7 years into a 12 month sabbatical! 😁

Now enjoying house renovations and spannering on cars.
Are you saying you’re a spanner

If under 60 I doubt the above makes much sense

Goals and assists. Kulu is probably done at this level, doubt we'll see Simons before March, was very hit and miss anyway, and Maddison just cant be relied upon. Our wingers just arent goalscorers, same with Savinho if he comes.
Yep the horrible truth people refuse to address is that ....Kulusevski is finished. I watched the other day at the game...he was limping STILL, they must have heard the grumbling because they released a video of him running....he limps it that too..:ange-facepalm2:
Blokes not coming back at elite level we can definitely afford to buy a MGW even with Madders and Xavi. But we should go big for Loccateli or Stiler imho

please, neither. pretty please. I can't stand them. limited and really not much better than what we have, if at all.
They are both considerably better than Tel, and Spence playing right wide forward with RKM stinking, seriously have you forgotten what we were like. Lots of Scouser revising on Darwin. Nunez really made their high forward press work. He'd be great at Spurs. Right now Id take Nunez and say Parrot over the Davids, Vlahovic, Keane people are scaring me with .

God, no.

Solanke is absolutely not an answer to any question we have that relates to reliable number one striker.

Lankskhear has maybe done enough to be given a chance if he impresses.

An upgrade on our strikers is imperative in my opinion.

I’m sure Richard Arlison Richard Arlison would think so! 😂

Spannering on classic cars is my hobby. Self taught and do a bit for a friend who owns a garage. I’m 56 and fortunate that the boring, but well paid job and some passive income enabled a lengthy sabbatical to fix up a house. Having seen so many friends fall off their perch in their 50’s, decided to take the pension at 55. Three adult children and beyond the cars and my two dogs I don’t have an expensive lifestyle.

Nunez would be my pick of the two, but he's a poor finisher. Richie isn't that bad in the box, really. He's just shit at hold up/close control. I honestly don't know if Solanke is a bad finisher or not, as I've rarely seen anyone complete a cross to him (this is only slightly sarcasm). Jackson has been utter shite every time I've seen him. I don't want the frustration of another wasted forward. Soldado, Janssen, RKM, Tel, etc.

But who is that player though?

I don't think it's as simple of upping the wages by the way, 6 is one of those weird positions like striker...only the elite teams can find the perfect 6 as it's a specialist role and there's a handful of elite players in that position especially as we are looking for a progressive playmaker.
There’s loads about actually.

Angelo Stiller
Nico Gonzalez
Hayden Hackney
Manuel Locatelli
Cristian Casseres

Obviously in an ideal world you’d blow the budget on Adam Wharton - who we really should have brought directly from Blackburn.
