No and nor should we, Danso is perfectly adequate and Sesesi can play on the right if needs be so you could bring him in gradually. Again its just about resources and pathways for good young players.

No centre backs, including the very best the PL has seen (Terry, Adams, Ferdinand etc) are ready at aged 19/20.

Posters just go on some wild excursion only conceived in their minds, about how good our players are. It's pretty much fantasy.

It's the PL. The guy wants to play football, and then when he is ready, and if still under contract.....

For now, back to the Farmer's league, where Kane scores 50 goals a season for context.
 
I'm all for signing good players and Van Hecke seems like a good player, as well as Sensei, but it baffles me that we would chase two starting quality centre backs, one of which who will cost a serious wedge, when we have some major weaknesses in other areas of the pitch.

In what world do we need VDV and Van Hecke being backed up by Senesi, Danso and Vuscovic? We're not even in Europe this year.

These funds would make a serious difference if we bolstered our attack or midfield, rather than our defence where we have more than adequate cover.

Strange operations, for me.

I would be very surprised if we don’t spend 150m plus sales this summer. With Romero, Vicario, Dragusin and a few others going, I suspect that will be at least 100m generated.

The ownership will have been properly spooked by last season. There will be a a response.
 
I'm delighted to see us in for Van Hecke. I raised big concerns last week over the Senesi signing as I was afraid the club would use him as the Romero replacement (which doesn't make sense as left footed) or gamble on Vuskovic being ready. Van Hecke is an upgrade on Romero. The other 2 were not.
 
I think RDZ will assess Vuskovic after the WC and before the start of the season(not a lot of time I know) and decide whether he keeps him here and sells Danso or keeps Danso and sends him out on loan obviously if we get Senesi, Van Hecke and keep VDV, but you never know with our club.
