No, I don't think so. But have in mind that Romero and Dragusin is probably leaving, and having only two class CBs and Danso isn't enough if we want to challenge for CL spots or if we get injuries - which with our history is not unlikely.

Also, Vuskovic has to settle in to a new country and league when he arrives. We don't have time for him not performing from the get go if we want to compete this season. His role in his first Spurs season will probably be focused on rotation.

My guess is we're selling Romero, Dragusin and Phillips, IF we're buying van Hecke.

I forgot about Phillips, I expect he'll be sold but after the season he just had - should be worth a few £££

I cannot believe some of you are turning your nose up at Van Hecke because "he might block Vuskovics path". Did we watch the same team last season? We need quality all over the pitch. You all probably had the same concerns about Gray, Bergvall, Odobert, Tel pathways being blocked and look how that turned out for us.

We need to manage young talent like Vuskovic better than we did with those players because we made a mess of the time they've been here over the last 2 years.

The ideal scenario is that Van Hecke and Senesi replace Romero and Dragusin. In which case, we would certaintly be loaning Vuskovic out again unless we plan on selling Danso too! VDV is untouchable. Vuskovic can't be kept as a 5th choice centre back - would ruin his progression.

Phillips bossed it last year, hes a first team player, high quality in CHampionship standards, probably able to go to a lower Prem team

If we arent going to play him (we arent) he should be sold, and left to get on with his career

(with a cheeky sell on clause maybe...)

Vuskovic said himself that he won't be at Hamburg next season. I'd accept loaning him out only to Hamburg since it holds a sentimental value to him, but I don't get why we would loan him to another Premier League club. If he keeps playing well, he'll earn points that could've served us instead. If he doesn't, his value drops massively. It's a lose-lose.
I don't get why everyone seems to assume that his brother, who wasn't afaik regarded as a particularly special talent, is just going to come back from a multi-year ban and waltz back into their starting XI.

Vuskovic has already said that going back on loan to Hamburg is off the table.

Maybe things actually have changed - going after a target who the manager actually wants early in the transfer window.
Good player but feels like a waste of resources to me.
I don't think so. It lets Vuskovic go back on loan to to HSV to play with his brother, and it would leave us with VDV/Senesi/Van Hecke/Danso as CBs this year, which is very strong.

I'd guess that he'll never play for us. Few loans before he's eventually sold.

Another Yang Min-hyeok situation

Probably, but its the name of the game isnt it?

You go through this process, best case you get a 1st team player, 2nd best you make a profit when he doesnt make it with you, worst way you lose a few £££ speculating

Its not up to Vuskovic, despite what he/his entourage seem to think
