Player Luka Vuskovic

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Really should be prem. an Ipswich loan would be great for his development and it would guarantee he was prem ready.
If McKenna stays. There is a Spurs connection there.

I think a lot of this media talk is hot air. I bet the lad is quite grounded and professional given the nation of his birth, the profession of his family members (coaches and players) and from what I read from Luka's words in his statements. He will want to play, either at Hamburg or if a good offer comes in from the PL.

The boy has nothing but time on his hands. As do we.

The panic on some and hype is just silly. He isn't one of the world's best centerbacks yet, mind you I heard folk saying that shit about Romero and VDV. He is a talented but raw player who won't be in his prime for nine years people need to slow down. We dont even know if his evident lack of pace will scale up to the EPL.

If we sign Van Hecke I reckon Voskovic is heading out on loan again, maybe lower prem or Championship team.

Ideally we want Vuskovic to join a team that is doing well, and not one that starts the new srason with question marks over whether it will be an unwelcome hat-trick of 17th placed finishes.

Lest anyone forgets we are still a big club.

The guy is too young. And whilst he might have potential, that's all it is at the present time, irrespective of a good season on loan.

You don't ask youngsters to become the spine of a team unless they are in that rare superstar, near genius bracket.

How old was the Bmouth lad when he played in pL then sold to RM? Surely he can have a part.

Why does Vuskovic need to and would he want a part?

This club needs to be a big club and stop worrying about players, especially those who have so far done next to nothing. More so fans who can sometimes become too fixated.

If Vuskovic was deemed good enough and the type of character to be one of 3/4 centre backs, I'm sure that assessment would see him staying as opposed to the possibility of another loan.

Im glad you mention him because the word on the street is Madrid are starting to think they were sold a pup lol..Lots of buyers remorse apparently and some talk of moving him on already.

They need to play him as an LCB alongside a veteran CCB or RCB in a back 3/back 2, respectively, for now. (Which I guess is supposed to be Rudiger?). He's very good but definitely not quite ready to be their new Pepe-Ramos replacement.

I'm not sure I can see Huijsen-Konate being a top pairing. I can see Huijsen-Rudiger being very good though... In either case, RMs problems for me more stem from their insistence on incorporating Mbappe into their very, very good team of two seasons back, rather than any real problems with Huijsen. Trent is definitely a weak link, and although Carreras is a nice player, I've seen him make some bad mistakes too. They should probably upgrade at fullback before anywhere else, and have probably done so if the deal for Dumfries is finalized. Carreras is supposed to be their young prodigy for the future on the left. He seemed to be benched in favor of Mendy when Mendy returned though.

They are such a dramatic team.

Said it in the transfer thread, but I'm starting to wonder if RDZ is considering a back 3.

Would explain why we're pushing so hard for CBs and extending Davies' contract (hard to see him getting minutes at LB but he's solid LCB cover in a back 3), and would also mean we could still integrate Vuskovic in to the first 11 without blocking his path.

RDZ played a back 3 system about half the time at Marseille, so it's clearly something he's been experimenting with. Could certainly see him wanting to have it as an option at Spurs, even if we don't play it exclusively Amorim style.

Vuskovic played in a back 3 for Hamburg so it would suit him and also give him a greater degree of protection as he adapts to the league.

I think he will be in the squad. RDZ will want him.

I think RDZ wants flexibility to play 3 Cbs and wing backs on occasion. Getting Senesi is smart as ball player with a natural left foot. I also think RDZ will consider playing VDV at LB. Allowing Senesi to play LCB.

The question is more about whether Romero stays?
If VDV moves to AM, we will need more CBs.
