It's not comparable at all, Jackson has had 2 good/decent seasons, Sav has had 1 good and 1 poor season.

You always bring up mins but I literally said the other day, reason why he stopped getting mins was because he just wasn't trusted, it's relative.

I mean we're going round in circles at this point and for some reason you won't let it go, why :D

I know you see context much deeper than what yoir applying here to Sav tho... I see you go into deeper context for players you like then kinda ignore the depth for players you dont.

but its all.good man we all do it. Consider jt let go

I went into deeper context and spoke about his bogus goals he scored against Newcastle and Brentford that you were championing :D

The thing is it's a pointless comparison anyway because we have more options on the LW market than the striker market, at least with wingers you can legit look at 4/5 more players who are just straight up better than Savinho who we could attract, with the strikers you can't say the same as everyone is a much of a muchness.
Yeah, that's a fair point.
I do like Savio though and I do think he could become just what we need, given the freedom of a system that suits his game.

I'm at a complete loss for strikers though because while I'll admit that my knowledge is limited, I can't think of a single name that makes me think "yeah, he's the one". They all come with caveats.

If there's truth to Bournemouth being interested, a portion of our fanbase should take pause and consider that actually, there might well be a player in there.

Tel's had plenty of playing time but not produced enough goals/assists to judstify a starting position.

If he stays at Spurs he'll get opportunities as we will probably only be able to bring in 2 forwards to replace Kolo Muani and Richarlison - so Tel will likely only be competing with Solanke, 2 new forwards and Kudus (when he returns from injury) and maybe youngsters Lankshear and Moore, so if he doesn't back himself to get playing time and get goals/assists he's not going to do well at Bournmouth or any other PL side.

Tel joined permanently in June 2025 so has years left of a contract, so is in no position to demand a loan if Spurs want to keep him in the squad. If he wants to move he needs to persuade someone to pay Spurs the £40m we gambled on him.

How many bogus goals has Jackson scored?

Its all good man.

If a player you liked was in the top 90% for assists and key passes per 90 you wouldn't call their first season in the prem meh.

You clearly dont rate Sav which is fine.

I don't think we can call averaging a goal contribution every other game in goal contributions bogus really, I think Jackson is a scruffy player and he does a lot of bumbling on the pitch but that rate is pretty good.

Yeah I don't so you don't need to change my mind, only he can do that for me.

Been thinking how to sow this into the discussions.

If you look at our last 5 results, we got 10 points. We were on the floor before that, no win in months.

If you expand that 2 points a game over a season, that gives 76 points, which would have been 2 behind City.

Is it unrealistic to hope DeZerbi might maintain that rate? Maybe even improve it with a better squad who are collectively confident and deeper embedded into a coherent structure/style?

Leicester surviving 2015 keeps nudging my memories, maybe a bridge too far, but maybe we emerge a completely different animal next season.
It seems there is no light and shade with some posters. If you think a player is pretty good you are accused of being a fanboi or a worshipper. Some players who are not up to standard are referred to as shit or wage thieves.
Truth is all of our players are good footballers. It's entirely possible we could get top 4 with the current crop.
But I think we could improve as a squad if Vicario (good keeper, not a good passer) Romero (an excellent footballer but I want him gone) Bissouma (inconsistent) Dragusin (too many mistakes) Muani (doesn't want to be here) all left.
Potentially Solomon, Veliz and Scarlett to all go as well.

I’m still on the “sell everyone” wagon. Tel has had chances. He’s had a couple of seasons and he’s been shite. Get rid. He may well explode into a world class player somewhere else, but that doesn’t mean he would here. All we can do is go by what we’ve seen already and that’s not a pretty picture.

And I don’t particularly care if anyone thinks he’d improve under a new manager. Neither Ange or Frank told him to ping most of his crosses into a different postcode. Doubt RDZ will either. But it’ll still happen.

And taking our improvements under RDZ as evidence he will improve, just think crack to who we played at the end of the season. Mainly dreck. Guys who were scared to tackle in case they dropped their beach towel.

If we persist with this “hey, they’ll be great under a new manager”, we are bang in fucking trouble. Just like when the great sages of TFC said that any manager replacing Ange would make us better. Utter nonsense.

And the points tally could easily have been higher but for some incredible reffing/VAR decisions. The goons managed 2.2 ish PPG, to win the thing. I certainly think we can and should under RDZ, with a better squad, better manager, full pre season etc. expect to be around 2 for the full season.

It's just who we are, mate.
Wide open and there for the taking.

I wouldn't say I actively want everyone sold. Not least because 9-10 new players would be horrendous.
But I would say that I wouldn't miss anyone. Like no one. There's not a player in that squad right now that I would be disappointed if they left bar maybe Madison or Deki just because they didn't let us down with god awful displays.

The difference is that they have enough depth to maintain that standard over many games. We're no where near that even without Europe. They barely had any significant injuries to key players, instead having shorter injuries to a lot of players making it look worse than it was.

I also very much doubt we'll suddenly be reffed properly next season. I wouldn't even be surprised if it got worse tbh.

We have 4 youngsters with potential, I would say. The extent of how far they can go is unknown.
.
None of the 4, unless they explode is starting regularly for us next season.

I think one gets sold this summer, maybe 2.

Yeah it does concern me that, I can't lie. But we've seen him a lot. Clubs dont always get it right.

But we cant wait. We need to upgrade the wings and he's never going to score enough. If we get a decent offer AND bring a better player in then it is a no brainer.

Like this, but “expect” is a little too much, for me. Hope yes, expect…
