Yes, and I really do feel that with our London locale, luxurious facilities, lavish public attention, reputation for underperformance and questionable at best commitment to winning both within the dressing room and from the club's leadership, we're a systematically, uniquely bad destination for players like that.

He's not wrong. While we do need to improve the base quality of the squad by signing better players. We also need to target players that still want to improve and getter better to boot.

He is 100% correct. I've said for years I don't care for high-paid stars, they're just expensive toys. I just want to see guts and effort, mixed with world-class skill, adamantium skeleton and a fanatical devotion to the badge.
