Ronaldo looks like an old man. Portugal have such a good team on paper but they have to play someone whose legs have gone. He will eat up their chances, he won’t press or hold up the ball or work the CB’s. Feels like he is going to hurt his own country just for his ego. For someone who is a top 10 maybe top 5 player of all time.
Imagine if Rooney was like this. Still playing and demanding to be starting 11 ahead of Kane, trying to keep up but he just can’t, making it all about himself. It’s just so pathetic and sad.

Bowen should also have gone. May need to create chances and instead of an elite crosser/passer we will have Madueke running down blind alleys. The whole plan appears to be Kane plus runners but if Kane gets injured it feels like that is us done.

Yeh I never got the hype about Madueke. Prefer a fully fit Kudus way more or if he ever gets back Kulusevski. He is basically there just to hoover up games they want to rest Saka but his end product is often so bad. Overall he does a job but it’s very average.

Most people I speak to feel the same . Half the group games are after midnight so forget them . Prob be a highlights prog most days. So many rubbish teams means even more rubbish games.
