Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I still think we should’ve just pressed ahead with the Gibbs-White deal rather than backing down when that fat cunt threw a wobbler. Regardless of how we found out, the release clause was there, I wish we’d just signed the contract with the player while he was at Hotpsur Way and dealt with the ramifications later. We should’ve just told the FA we’d been informed about it from a third party
To sign a player - even on a free - one needs the signature of the player, in this case MGW - but he decided to remain at Forest. Most probably Spurs did make a contract ready to be signed at that time - most probably because they didn't expect Forest to react the way they did..

You obviously didn't see the picture of MGW standing beside Marinakos saying how pleased he was to be staying at Notts Forest with a new contract ....... but looking shit scared.

Never seen anything like that. And any transfer to Spurs was off with player unwilling to challenge Marinakos even if it looked (legally) like intimidation

Or just lie and say it was a lucky guess.

It sounds as though Robetson, Senesi and then Savinho is close to being done. Are people happy with that?

I dont think we should pay a penny more than 40m for Savinho. Hes done naff all to be worth more than that.

Savinho is technically very good and above all is an actual winger so improves us by default so a very needed signing if not perfect. Senesi is quality and Robertson is good cover for Udogie.

Happy with the signings but we need a deep lying playmaker above all else then it’s the difficulty of the striker market.

Almost certain he's made this up, but he's the first to go on it (I think)

Thing is, pretty high reputation striker, on a free? Sounds like us doesn't it?

I could well see us going in for him

Something about him just doesn't appeal, but, of course, should he come in I'll be hoping he's amazing

And I suspect he'd be an upgrade on Richy

The reason why he's leaving Juventus is they refused his salary demands of £800k pw and a BIG signing on bonus - he had been on 400k pw at Juventus.

I doubt if anyone will want to pay that salary, including Spurs.

Agreed tweeter has made it up for clicks. Just don't fall for it.

Not falling for anything, as explicitly stated in the post you quote

Didn't know his wages were anything like that though, you sure?! I can't imagine anyone in Serie A on that money

This would be a generation fail. The blokes shit he will make Solanke look like Kane Dusan Vlahovic is a complete fucking donkey. I remember telling his glee club Gyökeres wouldn't scale up well this ones worse...

Id be pleased getting those guys in early. Defense sorted (aside from outgoings) and a true winger that I like.

Paramount we get that CM next imo but its difficult to find the right one profile wise that can pair well with what we currently have.

Always been something about him that hasn't clicked for me, so while I suspect you're right - if he signs I hope we're both wrong!

That said if he is on that money, won't happen

Van Hecke is Romero’s replacement. Senesi is gonna be rotation with VDV.
Okay but I meant from a financial POV, we've got a player for free, so when we sell Romero, we can use that income to pay for another player such as Savinho, without any cost, effectively.

Hecke can be seen as another transfer and one that the club will have to spend capital on, but I doubt he'll be in the £50m Romero/Savinho price bracket.
