Back to much of his old form. Wayward with his shooting but very direct and put in a few crosses that needed the likes of Kane in there instead of Soldado. Also his free kicks have always been fairly impressive if my memory serves me correctly?

I think the most impressive part of today's performance though was in defense. Him and Naughton were fantastic down the right hand side, Naughton tackling 6 times and Andros 5. That kind of energy could be invaluable and he will definitely be a great option for the bench at least.
 
After he continued his poor form for sixty minutes, he really was a force in the last thirty. Unlucky not to score with that peach of a free kick. His late game turnaround coincided with the Mason and Kane substitution. Those three guys have played scores of games with each other in the development sides and come up through the academy together. I wonder if them coming on gave him a bit of confidence due to their familiarity together.

Though he pretty clearly wasn't MOTM in my eyes, hopefully it will give him some confidence going forward.
 
Poor decision making yet again - as if he's trying so hard to prove a point. I understand competition for places if fierce but you don't have to take a shot every single time hoping for a 'Bale'!

This is absolute bullshit, and im not just saying that because you're a prick.
I was behind the forest goal in the first half and Townsend was the only one actually trying to score. (which, by the way, tends to be how you win football matches)
Considering our second goal came from Townsend shooting from distance as, and our first goal was a shot from distance, I think its pretty justified people were shooting from distance. They had 11 men behind the ball most of the time so shooting from distance was always going to be our best option.

Then again we all know you dont know shit about football so im not surprised. Jog on Nonce.

To be fair, I dont think people fault Townsend for shooting. As you say, we dont do it enough.

BUT

78 shots last season and 3 goals...zero assists.

Crap beyond belief
