Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If this carries on Levy will pull the trigger, simple. Anything to cover his own arse. Its looking more and more like the Wendy Random era but with even less effort... And he had King, Woodgate, Berbatov, Keane etc... Quite saddening really.

It does worry me what we are seeing under Poch though. Was he just lucky with a good young impressionable academy crop at Soton? He didnt exactly pull up trees as Espanyol... I dont see any inkling of a particular style or identity to this team. Its early doors sure, but there doesnt seem to have been a single improvement in our football at all.

The way you have to look at it is the team he picks and the way we are playing?Same team as last year under sherwood give or take holtby and Dawson I know we have lazy and some shit players but from where we were last year it is a lot worse

Along with most supporters, I would desperately love the bloke to have time. The troubling aspect of all this, as most supporters can see, is that in his time so far we have become far worse.

I would be more than prepared for us to have a season finishing top 8 and letting the bloke have more than one season but it is imperative that a system is being established for that to happen.

If he has lost the dressing room, then it is a far cry from last season for him, the Southampton players would have done anything on the pitch for him.

The difference is that at Southampton they had just come up to the Prem and were looking to stay there. With us he's inherited a team that were supposed to be pushing for Champions League and contains a bunch of mismatched lazy overpaid individuals.

That's a different situation to manage and at the moment he's struggling.

I also feel he has lost the squad. Everytime we have lost at home against WBA, Newcastle and Stoke...Poch says he is "angry and unhappy". But the players dont do anything to change this.

If Fergie or Mourinio were angry the players would know about it and give 110% next game. Our bunch of cunts dont give a shit.

i just dont understand , how this season is turning out to be , i mean westham ,stoke, southampton lol and few more this 4-5 teams are winning matches so comfortably , while us ,woolwich , liverpool , manutd all are just scrapping points , either a loss or a scrapy win , no domination at all.

The teams you mention at the top have heart, team character who want to work for each other & pride. We have none of that

I think it's hard to lose sight of the fact that the Spurs job is a poisoned chalice.

We break managers, it's what we do and by god we are good at. It's not just an ENIC thing either, we did the same under Sugar and Irvine before.

That's why we absolutely have to ride this through, let Poch get rid of some players and build his own team. The minute we do the knee jerk thing then we're done for.

Hey, at least it's getting easier to get tickets! :levystare:

Poch's only mistake is trying to play with inverted wingers. The rest is a mess that's always been there. He gave the captaincy to the guy who has been there close to the longest and doesn't have the balls to drop him. I can see why he did it. Big personality that is close to Ade and he didn't want to alienate those types like AVB did. He is safe all season surely. Only way he can get the sack is if we do get relegated.

And keeping the best centre half in north London on the bench

I think Poch needs to be given time to get the players he wants and rid the deadwood that he doesn't want around.

We can't afford to miss out on our primary targets again and sign the second rate option instead. If, and I say if because it is unlikely, he is given the opportunity to bring in the players he wants he will be able to impose his style on the team.

Even if we were to somehow finish below 12th Poch has to be given time! Complete fire sale in the summer. Not the ENIC way so we will lineup opening day next season with the likes of Kaboul, Naughton, Capoue & Ade all starting

Will be amazed if it is Poch doing THFCs transfer business in Jan. Unless results pick up very quickly he will be gone by Christmas.
I agree I'm optimistic in thinking he will be given the chance to buy the players he wants. Unfortunately I think we need a puppet like manager, wouldn't be surprised to see Roy Hodgson after his England selections. (Not saying I want that!)

Poch Spice was a flavour of the month appointment and we don't actually know if he's a good manager and we also can't trust Levy's judgement. His two successful managerial appoints were by accident (Jol) or due to massive panic over relegation (Redknapp).

I agree with Eskimo Eskimo , leaving Verts on the bench was very strange. Kaboul and Fazio switched sides at half time ffs, how is that a sign of a stable defence!

I am happy with our performances in the cups, however. I really hope we keep Pochettino for a good long while, if Levy sacks him before the season is over we should call for Levy's head, not blame it on the manager.

I think the majority are already calling for Levy's head over Poch's
