Podolski would have improved us - just like Adebayor and Gallas did at the time

Post fail, cunto - must try harder

You want to sign the Woolwich selfie mascot and I've failed. Alright mate. You want this in our team...

Me neither - but come January we found ourselves in a favourable position to push on from. I'm just bitterly disappointed we didn't consolidate that by bringing in one quality attacking player to improve the immediate squad.

A lovely in form attacker would have been great. But look at the positives, this way Kane gets so much more playing time, and our glorious leader can afford another gallon of bonce polish.

Well, Pochettino said he wanted no one in summer as he didn't know the squad. So it's not a wasted window, unless you think Levy shouldn't listen to him.

As numerous more creditable people pointed out, in this January many clubs across Europe were facing FFP issues if they excessively bought and sold players. This choked demand and made for a much quieter window than has been the case for several years.

Poch is hardly going to come on TV and say Ade and Bobby are crap is he, the guy is a politican if ever I saw one, he is very clever in what he says. Are you honestly not worried if Kane gets an injury, have you watched with Bobby or Ade this season.

Sure. But then the manager needs to have a look whether the player will fit in at the club. Maybe he wants to keep the squad together until the end of the season and then make a clear cut, with even some of the players on the fringes of the squad given a chance? Capoue, Kaboul, Ade and Paulinho for instance.

The fact that a player also has to agree to move is also a significant part of this.

On the issue of moving players particualrly Ade I imagine it could be hard, not the end of the World if we don't move some of the deadwood in the summer.

Did you want this in our team?

Gallas was Chelsea far more than Woolwich and Adebayor successfully burned every bridge with them long before he came to us. I don't find any of them appealing but I'd much rather have the two we had than that selfie taking fuck.

I agree, had we signed another attacking option then i'd be more confident about our chances. But without any of the facts what can we say? We may well have approached players but deals couldn't be agreed, nobody knows the full truth. We're approaching a pretty settled side and I don't think we've weakened ourselves as the two players who departed haven't really played a part in our decent run since the beginning of December.

As with yourself I hope we don't live to regret it but I don't think its the end of the world. I get the notion of 'speculate to accumulate' but we've never really done that so it was hardly going to change now. Hopefully we'll be a better proposition in the summer, get rid of some of the dead wood and go out and get players the manager wants without pissing around as usual. The winter window is a nuisance far more than it is a help and why I've avoided this thread until the last day or two.

Both those probably would have taken selfies if the hype was active back in their day. In any case - the keeper took the selfie, iirc. In any OTHER case - that's a ridiculous reason

It's a genuine concern, but I don't think buying Podolski would have been the solution. Besides, you never know Ade and Bobby being forced to play could be the making of them. Ade did alright last season after all. Stranger things have happened.

You really have no right to call any one else a gooner troll if you actually want this man at Spurs.

Be surprised whoever we brought in if Kane wasn't the main man all the time, just want someone as back up who aint shit.
