Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Spurs fans expecting too much and moaning about every decision made at the club because they're qualified to make the decisions? really, record breaking headlines that. Football's getting harder and harder to enjoy as all anyone ever does is moan, no matter what cunts will find a way to bring everyone having fun down, like the twats that go to the lane sometimes that look at you like you killed a child when you try and get a song going, our fans wont be happy unless we're winning every game 7-8 nil and winning 3 cups a season, expect so much for a club that is doing pretty well for it's stature, can we not just enjoy being spurs, not every game is going to be played to perfection, that's every fucking team, no football team is perfect, some of the greatest teams in the world have off days and play poorly, That's fucking football, too many fucking statistic and Computer screen managers telling everyone about how a manager should set up

We also have to hope that two of Chelsea, City, Utd, Goons and Liverpool have disasters.

Not very likely is it?

Chuck everything at the Europa and fuck everything else, I say. Would love to see us lifting another cup.

Yeah it's tough knowing that first statement and going deeper I do fear for the league in 5 to 10 years becoming like a franchise thing where only those guys ever get CL footy and win everything, with that said 3 of those 5 have basically always finished top 4 anyway

As for Europa have you seen the sides that are still in it? That competition is the cup version of the championship it's a fucking nightmare to win, so many tricky teams, if you gave it everything would still be like league cup where you face a Valencia or Juve in final

Not going to say the whole argument over again but for me, it hasnt been a very good season.
Its been 50-50 with decent and diabolical, with some one or two excellent performances thrown in too..I had a clearer vision of what Poch wanted earlier in the season. Now Im just confused.

In a nutshell, for me the positives are:
Fitness
Kane
Rose
Beating arse and Chelsea with actual brilliant football
Being able to go the distance in games
Academy being used
Lloris

Negatives:
Rotation and isolation of a major chunk of the squad..
..which caused our cup capitulation within two days
(we all said that was the most important month of our season. Well we failed)
Chadli´s form nosediving
Eriksen´s form nosediving
Lamela
Townsend
Soldado
Vertonghen
Paulinho
Central Midfield losing the plot and not being addressed
The back line bar Rose and Lloris
Oddball subs
The sudden abandonment of our pressing game
The lack of a leader
Naming three captains and dropping two of them from the entire squad
Dropping Dembele
Dropping Stambouli
Dropping Capoue
And playing Paulinho ahead of them
Lack of tactical flexibility
Playing a system with players that cannot play it well
Lack of heart
Lack of effort
On course to finish worse off than what AVB and Tim got last year

Forgive me for not jumping through hoops about this season
Pretty much agree with all of this
What you overlooked in your negative list though was lack of real investment in the playing squad. With no evidence to suggest Levy has any intention of changing his pathetic transfer policy any time soon. Average players equate to an average team. And promising young players for the future are exactly that. Players for the future,..... until their sold.

Youngest side in the league and should finish 5th or 6th. Have 3 experienced guys rightly banished so the depth is ridiculously thin. This season has been a perfect building block for Poch to create something.

That's something a lot of fans (Levy too) have never let anyone try and do. Build. Things take time. Gradual improvements will come once the shit is off the books and specific needs are addressed. As long as Levy backs Poch and his scout to deliver over the next couple windows we should see a proper Pochettino Tottenham for the 16/17 season.

We are currently paying several players who never see the pitch, much less improve the first eleven. I chalk this up to a transactional cost of switching managers. Hopefully with more stability in that department we can transition to having more useful players after another offseason and expect continued improvement next year. I don't think it is unrealistic to believe this will eventually be reflected in the table, hopefully sooner than later.

Lack of investment in incoming transfers, but when we did spend 100m it was a lot of investment in the wrong players.

However you seem to discount the significant investment in the training ground/academy which has given us 3 first team players this season and several more on the cusp of making it.

This season has been pretty much what was expected.
Anyone expecting top 4 with this newish set up needs a reality check.

Its not what I expected at all to be honest, and its nothing to do with top 4.

While Im pleased with our fitness, I didnt expect it all to come to nothing because the players are not rested and are knackered anyway.

I expected an improvement in our football, and a growing understanding in the team.
I expected a manager who was forward thinking, but also willing to adapt when needed and show a willingness to go back to basics.
I expected the likes of Soldado, Capoue, Ade, Lamela, Paulinho, Jan and Eriksen to be better.
I expected the manager to use the signings he made.
I expected us to give ourselves the absolute best chance of winning the CC final we could.
I expected that by April, the players would be knocking it around comfortably.
I expected a better defence.

Its all very well finishing where we expected, but that doesnt mean Im happy about the nature of the points we gained, or indeed, another season barely scoring more goals than we conceded.

City are in free fall mate ... believe!!!!

I agree that they're not looking too good but they'll win tonight & have us coming up , that'll kick start their run in no doubt.

I'm just being realistic , yes the incredible can happen & if we did go on a 7 game winning run , some bloody thing would crop up. The FA would probably dock us points for once having a line of merch saying " Never red" yet we have red on our shirts. We'd be done for making false claims or some surreal shite.

It's probably just self preservation haha!

He has certainly used Dier, maybe even too much.
Fazio, Stambouli and Ben Davies all had 10 or more starts in their first season at the club.

I thought 6th and it looks like we'll get 6th or at best 5th.. What did you expect Sammy?
To get 4th with this squad and new manager was never a reality.
We've played more games than any other premier league club with a very young squad.

Should be interesting tonight. If Palace have a go at them I think City might fold.

I know your optimistic and full of praise for the training academy. But seriously, if any of the the young products of that academy continue to excel and start attracting the eyes of more succesful clubs (I won`t say "bigger" clubs because we are, or at least should be, seen as one of the biggest) do you not think Daniel Levy would be tempted to sell, if the right offer comes along or the players head gets turned. History suggests he probably would sell, and so the whole damn cycle starts again. Another sacked coach. Or another re-building programme. Or another season of transition. You then have to ask, who is this world class training facility really benefiting. Is it the clubs that buy the players once we`ve nurtured them to their full potential ? Because if the products of the acdemy are sold before we achieve success, then it`s certainly not benefiting us as a football club in terms of on the pitch success. Thats what as fans, we are all interested in surely. Not the fucking profit margins. So I don`t discount the investment in the training ground/academy, I just don`t trust Daniel Levy to use it for the long term success of the team I support.

I concede you do have a massive point
