I`m self employed, so I do run a business. But what the fuck has that got to do with it. This is a Football forum, not a fucking business forum. And how do you know we cant afford 25million. With all the mega TV deals etc... the club has never been in a healthier financial position. I was merely replying to someones suggestion that we should not be paying 25million for Berahino. And quite a few others agreed with me. Unusual, I know, but they did. Why worry about the price tag.
Because it limits the ability to buy others? We need to spend as smart as we can to build the best possible squad. Over-paying Liverpool-style doesn't help that, and means we'll be a less winning team on the pitch.
Can we pay 25 million for Berahino? Yes. Should we? No. He isn't that good, and every pound wasted over-paying on him is a pound less on the midfielder we need to transform our first eleven.

Sherwood's arrogance has made him believe that Adebayor's upturn in form was down to him 18 months ago.
The midfields we've been playing in the friendlies seem to point to something different. I think Mason will be the back-up rather than a starter in our best team.
What've we been doing in friendlies? Who do you think'll partner Nabil?
Dier and Winks have both been playing. Dier has been played as a sort-of DM to free up Nabil. I don't think he's going to be our first choice in that role, but I think he's dropping in there until we actually sign someone to do that properly.
