Oh god, I really feel a sense of doom over this coming season if that is any kind of solution

Oh god, I really feel a sense of doom over this coming season if that is any kind of solution
the problem is that Levy has form and we could actually be that fucking dumbThere's nothing wrong with scoring them, but it's not a skill that's relevant to finding a striker. Being fouled in the box is, but that's got nothing to do with who kicks the penalty itself. And as I said, since they're converted at a ridiculously high rate, and teams use a variety of different people to be penalty takers, it's not a skill needed in a striker.i know u don't have to take them urself, my point was where you said they were irelevant but if he won some of the penalties himself it proves that hes is dangerous and effective rather than you just writing of some of the goals he scored just because they were penalties, and for the record theres nothing wrong with scoring penalties

Windy thoroughly pooh poohed this idea the other day.I reckon Shaq could be an adequate replacement for Soldado and Adebayor. All he has to do is run around and miss nearly every chance that comes his way. He might even surprise us by scoring more than one or two.
They aren't a skill relevant to a striker though. One on ones are, because the player had to create that space and situation. Converting from the spot after someone else fell over in the box isn't something that only strikers can do. Any idiot can,and does, which is why clubs don't factor it in.If we don't count penalties, do we count one on ones with the keeper? Free headers from inside the box? Goals against shite defences? Free kicks against crappy walls?
Penalties are pretty fucking important. As Roberto Baggio, Martin Palermo, etc.
Almost a guaranteed certainty then. He is the guy that claimed Mason was the central pillar of the team's success last season. I don't think he watches the first team
Being able to hold your nerve, deal with pressure, have the confidence to take a pen. These are all qualities I like in a striker. They are not a measure of a striker's qualities. Full Stop. There are teams that have the keeper as the designated penalty taker. It's a free kick from close range with no defence. It's a skill any idiot can do, which is why clubs don't factor them in when comparing strikers.
This lays it out better than I can:

I get the feeling that this week will make up for the nothingness of last week.
Not to mention that strikers will often be the ones to earn the penalties in the first place... so their speed, trickery, and footwork can also be reflected in their penalty numbers.Being able to hold your nerve, deal with pressure, have the confidence to take a pen. Pens definitely count.

The thought of Mason and Bentaleb in midfield against Schweini, Schneiderlin, Mata, etc terrifies me. It's gonna be a long afternoon come 8th August if we don't sign a DM.It's a major fuck-up, if we don't sign a dm before season start

Following the forum for a long time but just signed up, tended to scroll through all the in fighting but as the transfers have dried up, the Levy hate and bickering seems to be the only guarantee on here..
I guess this forum is in Pre-season Melt form, too.Oh god, I really feel a sense of doom over this coming season if that is any kind of solutionthe problem is that Levy has form and we could actually be that fucking dumb

n how many ''idiots'' have we seen miss them, its not as easy as you seem to think. were not signing him because he can take penalties, the fact he can is just a little bonus
